  8. I am looking forward to the grits... I love em
  9. My doc let me have the light mussel milk and it has been great. Water and this keep me hydrated and full. My daughter was eating frito's chips and I had to leave the room. They said certain things will be different in taste maybe smell is included in that as well. Congrats on your success thus far...
  10. Few days behind you doing okay here. Waiting for the 2 week mark might take for ever..
  11. Getting used to not eating at lunch and dinner time is hard. I know this procedure is just as much mental as physical but I got to tell you it is hard. I feel like I am forgetting to do something. Plus this liquid stage is not fun. I am still very hopeful for the future. My starting weight was 303 surgery was 287 and I am at 280 today so that 23 pounds in less than three weeks. I can t wait until this life style becomes more normal. It seems that my days prior to this surgery were figuring out what I was going to eat next. I have a lot of time on my hands..
  12. Day three home and I am having my challenges. The liquid in is hard same with protein. Stomach feels achy and at times slightly sick. I am not going to complain as other have a much harder time than I have. It is strange not looking for my next meal. I feel as if I am missing out on something.
  13. How are you doing? I am getting around better . Still struggling with the 64 oz of water and 32 oz of protein.
  14. Me too I am finding the strangest things give me an upset stomach. My deodorant is one. Just the smell of it makes me sick. I will be glad when this phase is over.

  16. Two days home and my family came down with the flu. So I am downstairs by myself as I can not get sick. This sucks. I was doing so well in the hospital and now this.

  19. Going home has added some new challenges. Trying to get in the 64 oz of liquid is proving to be a challenge. Stomach has some minor pains for the surgery but other than that counting the days.
  20. Good to hear congrats...
  21. Add me to the list . I am now 2 days post and doing very well. I must admit the surgery itself was a breeze. This site had me so prepared for every step the doctors were amazed at the knowledge I had regarding the entire procedure
  22. My surgeon said the fifth incision is for a tool that holds up your liver. So there is an advantage to following the diet and your liver being shrunk. Congrats on your surgery.
  23. I will say this when it comes to cheating. My surgeon only used 4 incisions instead of five due to my liver being shrunk so much. This was because I stuck to the diet. But I did almost cheat one time.
  24. Came off the pain medicine through the IV today and that proved to be challenging. Doing much better today. Started protein sipping and walking. So happy so far.
  25. I am so grateful that pain has been low. Start protein today. Been walking and am over all doing good. It is so nice to have all the knowledge I from this site. It has helped in so much. Talk to everyone later.
