  1. Today I am 2 days post op. I can say that as far as pain it was tolerable getting up an moving around usually required a little pain med afterwards. I actually have been having trouble urinating. Dr says things will get better once all of the anesthesia is out of my system. Gas pains are bad though, but as long as I got up and walked and took slow deep breaths the pain would go away. Last night I are a sugar free Popsicle and got full just from eating that. What a change. Hunger has not crossed my mind yet. Even though I have taken in very little. I know this will change at some point but Popsicles seem to be my food of choice thus far! Anyways good luck to all the sleevers out there!!! Surgery was a breeze the worst part so far has been the all over body soreness and the ride home was rough!! But I am so excited to begin this new journey
  2. My Dr told me it helps keep the stomach acid down so it stays off if the suture line and aids in heeling

  4. I am in Texarkana. My bowel prep is the day before surgery... So i suppose i will be locked up in my hotel room lol!!!
  5. Less than a week to go... My feelings range from so ready to do this to Good Lord what am I doing. Granted i have not had surgery since i was 4 and i def dont remember what that was like i am more nervous about the anesthesia than i am the actual surgical procedure. Yesterday i went to the store and loaded up on clear liquids for my pre-op diet that started today, so far so good. The protein shakes really seem to help ease the hunger. Also very impressed that my pain cream (for my incisions) and scar cream made it to my house in less than 48 hours. Kind of nervous about the bowel prep though, since i have to drive 3 hours the night before my surgery to Dallas... that may be an interesting/long ride. At any rate i am excited to open this new journey. Yesterday i was telling my mom, i am only 25 and i have no idea of what it feels like to be comfortable in my own skin. I can't wait for that feeling!!!!
