  1. First make sure your getting your protein and water in. I have found if I do not get enough protein I crave bad food, also sometimes thirst disguises itself for hunger. If this is all in check then begin to think about your emotions. What is going on,how are you feeling before your drive thru? If you can pin point the emotions that cause you to want to comfort yourself with food you can then put a strategy to beat the emotional eating by finding another way to handle that particular emotion. fear: go to the gym and feel strong loneliness : call or meet up with a friend sadness: cry and let it out boredom: start a hobby etc.
  2. I know what you mean I can barely do anything else, my surgery is on the 25th
  3. Mercy, I totaly hear what your saying...my husband was doing the same thing but I am pre op and he is even giving out my pant sizes! Note I stressed "was" we had a talk and he gets it now.
  4. Hi Ann22 Would love to buddy up. I live in Michigan. I have been in the process for 8 long months I simply cannot wait for next week. Although a bit nervous, but I think its more a feeling of being in limbo rather than fear. I look forward to sharing with you as we start our journey.

  7. My surgery is March 25 I also have only 9 days off. I hope it is enough. Most people say as long as your not lifting or doing anything too stressful. I am more concerned with dizzines and or feeling sick at work as I am not telling anyone at work the only thing they know is i am having hernia repair, which is true but all they need to know.

  9. Sending prayers up for everyone who is having surgery tommorow, My surgery is for March 25, next Tuesday... I wish I was going in tomorrow, the waiting is the worst. Soon you will be past this surgery stage...ready to transform out of the weight cocoon and emerging into the butterfly, flying free. God Bless!
  10. In reading the posts it seems that most people are on a 2 week pre op diet. My instructions are for 2 days. Anyone else have a 2 day diet ? I have worked so hard for over a year to qualify for this surgery I dont want anything standing in my way!
