My surgeon only approves two weeks off work unless there is a complication. My short term disability carrier would also only approve two weeks. I'm a HR Manager so I have an office position but it can certainly be highly stressful. If you can get more time off, take it! I'm still exhausted every day and I'm six weeks out.
Is anyone else worried about getting a leak? I am 10 days post op and freak out over every little pain, etc. How do you know if you have a leak? How common are they?
I had my surgery on 2/18 in Michigan! I am having the same issues with protein intake. The shakes make me so nauseous! I have to force myself to drink half of what my doctors require. I am jut trying to get as much Fluid as I can.
My surgery was 2/18. My pain level was high for the first week post surgery. The pain was from my incisions. The pain is now gone but I am really struggling to eat. I have no appetite at all. I have to force myself to drink my Protein shakes. They make me nauseous even with the anti-nausea meds. I'm only getting about half of the protein required by my doctors and a fraction of the Water. It's been a tough 10 days. I have had several moments of regret!!
