  1. I like the video diary as well! I may have to do something like that. I know quite a few people document their journeys here.
  2. Just one for now. Lol I know Rebellious Butterfly wanted to plan one as well but I haven't received any info from her yet.
  3. Yes still next Sat. I will send an invite out today. Trying to get an accessible location for everyone
  4. The pre op diet does vary with surgeon but I did hear it is to shrink the liver to get to the stomach. Mine is 7 days of protein drinks and clear liquids the day before surgery. I'm sure there is not just one way to shrink the liver.
  5. Yes Dr Cahill has all kinds of awards and magazine covers in his office. He is good at what he does!

My surgery is April 21 Awesome! we will be starting our journey together!
  9. Rebellious Butterfly - we are planning to meet up. I will send you a message.
  10. Hey cutiepieinchi. I'm good. On my way out for hubby's birthday. He bought me these beautiful dresses for Xmas. There is only one I can actually wear comfortably. 4/21 can't get here fast enough!!
  11. Malijah -that's great! Your day is almost here. Do you have to do a pre op diet?
  12. Sboulie77 I'm married and I do understand where you are coming from. You don't want to go against your hubby. You have think to yourself have you tried everything healthy to lose weight? If you have and you believe this is your best option I agree sometimes you have to do what's best for you. Take him to the meeting to discuss the surgery that's if he's open to it. If he has reservations he should be open. He needs to know the sleeve is not a quick fix. Yes you will lose faster than normal but keeping it off is truly up to you. Exercise watching what you eat you will still need to do. Ask him to attend a meeting and ask questions. My hubby is open to me having surgery but I also want him to attend just to be prepared for the changes. I wish you the best either way.
  13. Aww! Yes you will have to do something special for him!
  14. Diane1 mine is 4/21! We will start our journey together!
  15. Sboulie77 - hubby not happy you are having the surgery?

  18. Ok Chicago sleevers! Some have expressed interest in us meeting up. I want to plan something for us to get together. If anyone is interested, please add me as a friend. I'm hoping to get something together in the next few weeks. I think it would be a great time.
  19. Ok. Let's try to plan something for the end of the month. Before we officially start our journeys.
  20. Cutiepieinchi I'm in south suburbs. Cal City.
  21. Mokamami I am sure they will be able to work with your schedule. It would be great to meet up. I know people that have already had the sleeve but to be able to talk and relate with others starting this journey at the same time would be great. We can support each other.
  22. I have a pre op diet for 1 week prior to surgery. And all clear liquids on Easter. What was I thinking. Just kidding. I'm ready for this. The Easters is what got me here.
