  1. How did you find out you had GERD?
  2. I thought about starting tomorrow too. We will see how I feel in the am.
  3. I had a chest X-ray, leg ultrasound, EKG and a stomach scope. Oh and labs
  4. Have you tried drinking more protein shakes? What kind of shakes are you drinking? I was advised at my pre op meeting that as long as it's less than 6 grams of sugar you can have as many as you want. He also said the more protein in it the fuller you will feel.
  5. I saw that. I never even thought of that I thought it would be good to mix up some of the powder proteins. I am definitely going to bring it up at my appt with the NUT.
  6. Badabing what does the CPAP machine actually do? I know people that had them but never knew how they worked.
  7. Hey Chicago Sleevers! How are things going for you all? I'm getting ready to start my pre op diet for surgery on April 21st. It's getting close and the nervousness and excitement is rising!
  8. I'm so glad to have this group. Hearing the highs and lows shows me what I could expect once I start my pre op Monday. The 21st is coming fast.
  9. At least you all get some options. My only options is different flavors if protein shakes and a apple banana or orange. Lol
  10. Lol. Sabrine are you on all protein all day or are you able to do a small meal? I start Monday but it's all protein for a week. We can have one apple orange or banana the 1st few days but that's it.

  13. I really hate that hubby is not backing your decision. That's definitely not a stress you need right now. Especially doing this pre op.

  17. I start my pre op next Monday. I have muscle milk to start but I want to try premiere as well.

  20. Always a labrat it is fine. We are here to support each other. I think a lot of what u are feeling has went thru many our minds. Especially what if we fail. When u tried so many things and nothing works. I decided to commit to do my best. If I fall to get back up and get back on it. I have given up when I fell off. I'm determined to keep moving no matter what obstacle comes. This may be your time to come to grips with what's been going on to prepare for a brand new beginning.

  23. I had put up a Chicago thread. A few said they were interested in meeting up. So I got a location date and time. This afternoon 3 of the 6 said they couldn't make. Being that I am 1 of the last 3 that haven't responded and said they were coming I am goin to still go. If I get another cancel I will just reschedule. I thought it would be nice to get together and talk with others having the sleeve but it may not happen tonight. Have a great time a the bachelorette party. Martinins and sushi sound awesome!
