1 year coming up next month

I too have been in at least a six-month stall, according to the scale! I think I have been losing inches, however. I really wish I had taken my measurements when I started! So, while I still have only lost 70 pounds, I have gone from a size 22 to a size 12-14 (depending on the clothing style). Diabetes is gone, also off cholesterol medicine, but still it is disheartening that I haven't lost any pounds in so long. I am exercising 2-3 times/week, so I know, intellectually, it is probably muscle, but jeepers! I have gone down to 1000 calories/day and keep track with myfitnesspal and love to do Jillian Micheals, Banish Fat and Boost Metabolism as well as her Trouble Zone workouts. Anyone else having issues? I don't deny myself any treats, but I do try to keep the portion sizes small, and I factor it in with my food tracking. I have a tendency to not drink enough liquids as well, especially on the weekends. I am hoping I can get over this stall, or maybe this is it? This is all I will lose? I really have at least 30-40 pounds that I would like to lose, though. It doesn't help that I am peri-menopausal, but it is discouraging. Anyone else at the 1-year mark experiencing this?
  2. Sugar free creamsicles. I think about 35 calories and is more than enough to satisfy the icy, creamy craving and you don't have to worry about serving yourself too much, since it is portioned out for you.

    Not Enough Weight Lost?

I too felt like I wasn't losing as much as others. I was comparing myself to bypass people. They lose really fast, but have all of the loose skin, hair loss, gaunt-look issues as well. I have lost 26 since the surgery, but then 17 prior to the surgery. The pounds are slow, but I am down from a size 22 to a snug 16! People see the difference, and I truly feel it too! With this procedure, the loss is slower than the bypass surgery. In looking at other profiles, I see I am about average. Thanks to all for posting your journey! It is good to see where I am with many others.

    In my 2nd Stall!

I have had to only weigh myself once a week, as I too felt like I was in a stall. But, the slower the weight loss, the less chance of saggy skin and hair loss/thinning! My clothes are baggy and falling off my hips, and my face looks thinner. That is the true measurement. The scale is too dependent on water gain and hormones to really have me dwell on it. Looking at this forum really helps, and shows that I am actually about average for people who were sleeved mid-January like me!
