  1. Dear Ivnmylife, Thanks for the response. I'm so new to all of this. I haven't told anyone of this surgery except my spouse and my son, so I'm glad I have all of you to bounce off of. If I didn't fill the restriction in air intack then I think I would feel about 80%. I know it's only been a few days, but it's hard to keep myself down. How are you dealing with your pain and gas? Sorry to ask, but have you had a bowel movement yet? Banded 8/28/07 S.F. CA Have not weighed yet, But know I am loosing.
  2. Rae, It sounds as if this is the surgery you need, for your health as well as giving you a chance to live a longer life. My suggestions would be to stay focused and do exactly what your Doctor tells you to. Good Luck. I am 5 days post op and I am feeling pretty good.
  3. Hi to all of you, I was banded on the 28th as well. Things are going pretty well. I found out today that my doctor did a hiatal hernia repair when he placed the band. Maybe that is what is making me feel as if I can't take a deep breath? Did any of you have the repair?
  4. Thanks for the info, I just thought that with "just liquids" maybe it was normal. How are you doing? Is your weight loss going as expected?
  5. Anyone else post op 3days? I have not had a bowel movement yet is that normal? I have only had liquid protein and jello or broth. I'm embarrassed to ask, but need to know. :help:
  6. Be sure and keep yourself hydrated. If you can't keep fluids down I would call your doctor.
  7. I was also just banded 8/28 I didn't gain from fluids, my complaint is I feelthat my chest is tight. I don't know if that is gas or what. I have so much fear, I don't want anything to go wrong. I am also bruised around the sites and my I.V. placement. Anyone out there feel as if they have bricks on their chest?
  8. I was so scared, my surgery was on the 8th and went well. I' very sore and nervous about what to ea. I wish you luck come to us for support. 261/253/140 surgery date 8/28/07
  9. Where was your surgery? I drinking some sort of Fluid every 20-30 mins to help with the hunger. The chicken Soup Protein powder has helped. Coastalgrl
  10. Thanks for all the great info. I was banded yesterday. I am trying to stay focused with 1-2 ponds per week. Good Luck
  11. Hi to All, I was banded yesterday in S.F. by Dr Cirangle. I was so scared. The night was alittle rough, but today I feel good. My stomach is sore but only feels as if I worked out hard. That's been years. Was anyone else banded yesterday? I would love to hear from you. My support group is very small. My spouse and son are the only ones that know of my decision. I come from a large Italian family:hungry: My start weight was 261 we will see how it goes!
