Post Op 3 Days

Anyone else post op 3days? I have not had a bowel movement yet is that normal? I have only had liquid protein and jello or broth. I'm embarrassed to ask, but need to know. :help:

Thanks for the info, I just thought that with "just liquids" maybe it was normal. How are you doing? Is your weight loss going as expected?

That's a very common occurance. MOM is an option, or you can pick up some of those baby juices in Apple Prune, they are the perfect size at 4oz and 70 calories each. I started drinking one a day and it helped immensely. Once on mushies, I had a jar of babyfood prunes a day. Again, worked well.

I am 3 days today. I have had one small BM. Eating about the same as you it sounds

I am post op 5 days and had my first BM on the 3rd post op day. I was also told that when you are on liquids, it can take a while longer to get that working well. I have been regular since my first BM. I think it may be too soon to worry about it. Just keep sipping your water and drinking your liquids and before you know it......it will happen. Good luck.
