1. 3 years out. 5'7. 240 to 135 in 11 months. Then a tummy tuck and breast lift. Best thing I ever did. Loving the new me.
2. The surgeon says he will stitch it up before surgery. ... and undo it after. So that he doesn't have his colostomy bag attached to him during the surgery. To my husband and I , it just seems weird.

4. I had my sleeve 3/3/14. I am doing GREAT!!! My husband is scheduled for his on 11/10/14. His case is a bit different. My husband survived colon cancer last year but had some complications and was left with a colostomy bag. The surgeon said before surgery he will be sewing up the stoma. Because he can't have anything on his body during surgery.... Like the colostomy bag. To me this seems really strange. Has anyone else had the sleeve surgery while having a colostomy? Any responses would be great. Thanks!
5. Zephyrhills here. Hi ya!!
6. I am not sure if it's the "charge" or what's "paid" by my insurance. .. I was looking up info on something else and noticed that. My jaw dropped for sure.
7. I just happened to pull up my prescriptions to check something and I noticed what my insurance is paying for the scar cream. Just thought I would share my findings. I was shocked!!
8. I had a consult today.. I'm excited and can't wait. I am 20 pounds from goal. They said for me to make an appointment after I lose 10 pounds to see the Dr. Then at that time we will schedule for the surgery. I will be getting a breast lift/reduction, tummy tuck, and some lipo. The quote was just over $12,000. I can't wait!! I'm so blessed that I have a great husband who will be helping with the payment. My sleeve was paid for through insurance. .. but the plastic surgery will all be out of pocket.
9. I wish I would have done all that. I was always the one taking pictures. .. so I am not in very many.
10. I was given 6 weeks off. I went back to work at 3 weeks. I was going nuts sitting at home. I could have went back at 1 week. I felt fine. Everyone is different though.
11. Here is mine...just got it today. I must say, I like it.
12. I ordered one from Roadid.com ... you can put a lot of info on the bracelets. I will post a picture when I get it.
13. I had issues with the pain meds right after surgery. I dry heaved for hours and then puked up blood. It scared the crap out of me.....I was fine.
14. I was sleeved on 3/3. Lost 15 pounds the 1st 2 weeks then nothing. I spend an hour at the gym every morning Mon-Fri... I weigh every morning 216 and every night 218. Been this way for 2 weeks. Grrrr!!!
15. Not sure why I am sideways... oh well.
16. I feel GREAT. Can you tell?
17. My phone is acting up.... sorry, but if I were you. I would call the Dr tomorrow to have that checked. I wouldn't wait.
18. I live in Zephyrhills also. I drive 45 min to work... but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love this area.
19. You will still be able to eat out.... just make better choices. Some places will allow you to order from the kids menu. Chicken breast and steamed broccoli at Chilis on the kids menu as an example. I would get that before the surgery. I am 4 days out. Liquids only still. I can't wait to start cooking healthy. I found this link on here somewhere www.skinnytaste.com . Good luck!!
20. I have 7 incisions sites... no staples just glue. I have had no problems with stairs. My bedroom is on the 2nd floor. I go up and down a few times a day. I do hold the railing, but I always did.
21. Doing MUCH better today. Just a little sore still. Nothing terrible. No regrets!!
22. I was sleeved 4 days ago. I had a 3 night stay. Apparently my body did not like the pain pump...whatever it was it made me dry heave. That was the worst. As soon as I figured it out I stopped using the pain pump. I ended up getting a few shots of Toradol. ... what a difference!!! I got to come home last night and I have only used the pain medication twice.... I think I am doing pretty well! The gas is the worst, but that is just temporary. Right?? Good luck future sleevers!! You can do this!
