confused and lost about panni,
Some insurances do cover it with documentation saying it's medically necessary from your doctor. Mine covers it and I know a year from now, I'll be doing it too!

Starbucks
I didn't realize they sold individual packets. I'm going to order some so I can try it before buying the big tub. I did manage to make it to GNC today for unflavored protein. I mixed a little in with my yogurt and scoop in my bottle of water with Crystal light. It was nice to know I'm getting my protein without the shake lol.

Bathroom issues....TMI
I plan on it. I have my two week post op appointment on Tuesday.

Starbucks
I have been looking at getting some of that. Just haven't decided if I want to spend that much because I know I'll drink it just about everyday. I'm actually headed out to pick up some unflavored protein so I can make all different kinds of shakes. Sick of the same ol, same ol.

Bathroom issues....TMI
Ok, this may seem like too much information, but I need to know if I'm the only one.... While on the two week preop liquid diet, I was in the bathroom at least once every 45-60 minutes to empty my bladder. I'm now 8 days post op, taking in 60+ ounces of fluids the same as before surgery, and I'm lucky to visit the bathroom 4 times a day. When I do go, it's not much. Is this normal with anyone else?

Starbucks
I have the samoa girl scout cookie creamer that I use at home. I haven't had anything artificially sweetened yet. My creamer makes the coffee sweet enough that I don't need to use splenda. I've tried the sugar free syrups before surgery and I hated them. I'm hoping my tastes have changed lol

Starbucks
Ahhh, ok. Thank you so much!

Starbucks
I have always been a big coffee fanatic. Since surgery I only drink a cup or two a day of decaf with creamer, no sweetener. Every once and a while I used to go to Starbucks for a caramel macchiatto. I have no clue how to order sugar free, low fat drinks lol. Can anyone recommend something?

Got my Unjury sample pack in today!
I'm headed to GNC at some point tomorrow for unflavored protein powder. I'm a little over a week post op but I can't stomach another damn shake lol. I have Premiere Protein from Sams Club and Body Fortress from Wal-Mart. The taste of them isn't bad, I'm just sick of drinking them 3 times a day for the past 3 weeks with another week to go until pureed. What are you putting the powder in? I've heard people put it in their Water with Crystal light, in broth, or even mixed with yogurt. Does it alter the taste of anything?

Gaining weight 4 years after surgery. Need help.
Excellent advice! I'm only a week out but I have those EXACT 3 rules hanging on my fridge and as the wallpaper on my cell phone lol. MyFitnessPal is a wonderful tool and I've been using it since before surgery. It's a great way to track EVERYTHING! I also think we all fear we will end up down this road at some point. My mom is 12 years out from RNY. The most she has gained at any time is 20lbs. She always goes back to basics though to get motivated again. Protein, water and exercise! She's kept 150lbs + off for so long! We are all here for each other! You can do it!

Hernia?
Hopefully that's all it is. Fingers crossed for you!

Hernia?
I'll be one week post op tomorrow. I still have pain here and there if I try to do too much. I would take it easy and if it's bothering you, I'd call your call doctor just to be on the safe side. Hope you feel better soon

March 2014 Losers
Hi everyone! My name is Becky, I'm 33, from PA and had RNY surgery on the 13th. I'm doing pretty good with everything except the liquid diet. I've been on it for 3 weeks and the protein shakes and broth make me want to vomit. I can't take it anymore. I've tried a million different combinations of flavors and freezing them as popsicles, no luck. I just want to taste food. I'm allowed to eat yogurt and pudding but even those are starting to get to me. I'm hoping next Tuesday at my post-op appointment that I'm allowed to switch to the pureed stage. On the plus side, I'm down 14lbs since surgery! Woo hoo!! Glad you all are doing well and I'm excited for this journey and being able to connect with others going through the same thing

I only stayed one night. If I wasn't able to keep down the protein shakes I would've had to stay a second night.

March 2014 Surgery!
I'm so sorry I know you have to continue to wait but they did what was best for you. I'm sure the next three months will fly by. Get your rest so you can heal quickly. Just remember, even though you're frustrated and upset and have to wait a little bit longer, it'll all be worth it in the end.

The dry mouth is the worst, ugh. Walking is the best thing for all the gas though. Glad to see you're doing well! Keep us posted!
