  2. Be totally excited. I felt like a new man after only three days post-op. My surgery was 2/20, pre-diet started 2/5, and I've shed 52lbs since and exercising daily. Now starting foods again slowly. Good luck. It's so worth it!
  3. Congrats! I just had mine on the 20th and I feel like I'm a decade younger and have shed 50lbs. Good luck!
  4. Congrats! I had my sleeve on the 20th and it's been an epic success. That Thursday was the surgery and I felt 10yrs younger by that Sunday. I stayed on protein shakes as instructed until last Friday. I then started ricotta cheese, then eggs, today tuna salad. No meat, no veggies, no fruit, no mixed foods. Cleveland Clinic wanted me to isolate foods to identify what went down well and what didn't. They broke it into phases. I've been fine- taking everything super-slow and not drinking 30min before and after. I still do protein shakes daily, but use sugar free syrups and extracts to jazz them up. Is that what you're doing as well? Good luck!

  7. Thanks Karen! I'm walking into surgery right now. Scared, but confident.

  10. Thanks! I will do my best to take it easy- but I know I'll be raring to go.

  12. Hey everyone. I'm one day pre-op and I already go to the gym five days a week. Food is my problem- certainly not physical activity. While I prefer cardio to weightlifting, being in the gym centers me. I'm getting mixed answers as to how soon I can hop back on an elliptical. Any post-op gymmers out there have any advice? Being sedimentary for a long time will be more painful then the recovery. I have no co-morbidities and courtesy of the pre-op fast am a good-feeling 275lb 37yr old guy. Thanks all!
  13. Really good question. I'll be waking tomorrow to 14th day pre-op fast with my surgery this Thursday morning. I've lost 31.6lbs in 13days and I haven't even been sleeved yet. I feel skinny, but boy.. These 13 have been tough. Any thoughts to prevent me from biting bystanders tomorrow and additional advise weathering the surgery or when I wake up at Cleveland Clinic Weston with a tinier tummy. Chargers packed.
