1. Thank you for that song! So beautiful and perfect for us all
2. Struggling with my weight. Up and down. I am 1 month into the 6 month wait for my sleeve. I cannot wait to post a happier healthier and thinner me once again and once and for all. Currently at 207 lbs at 5ft4 . The thinner photos are of me after my last attempt at weight loss. It was a contest through work and I got 3rd place company wide. Now I am so ashamed I have gained nearly all of the weight back. Co workers and friends have taken their journey with the sleeve surgery and over the last 2 years I have researched and thought about it. During this time I have completed jillian Michaels 90 day with some success but soon got frustrated and quit because no matter what I did the weight wouldn't come off. I have tried 2 or 3 other approaches to losing weight and failed. I am feeling so low and want to feel good again. That is why I am doing this. I just hope the next months that follow go quickly. I am Done hiding when the camera comes out. I hate looking like this and feeling this way. 3. OMG you are beautiful! What an accomplishment. Awesome! I just started this journey of mine. I am 1 month into the 6 month wait and working through all the requirements for approval. I cannot wait to be where you are now. I just hope I am as successful as you. Congratulations you really are amazing!
4. Wow! Congratulations! I still have 5 months at least. Good luck and speedy recovery!
5. I quit smoking 6 months ago but I do have a vapor cig. I am down to 12mg of nicotine. I haven't been told about the smoking thing yet. Hmm.
6. Yay keep us posted on your success
7. I agree. My insurance like everyone it seems requires 6 months for approval. Diet and requirements etc. I can't wait. So excited. I'm sure I'll be nervous but I am jumping in feet first. I so want this. Thank you for your advice
8. So my first appointment for my sleep study there was some kind of mix up on their part and no one showed up. The lady apologized and said I have lots of time to get it done and maybe try 4 months into my 6 months in. I hear a lot of people get delayed because of this sleep study and think I should get it done sooner. I don't want to add additional wait time to these 6 months if I can help it. Any thoughts?
9. You and I are in the same boat starting at the same time! 6 months! Seems so far off. Where are you from? I live just outside Vegas NV. Keep me posted.
10. Good idea. I tried to get my sleep study done. Had an 8 o 'clock appointment . Waited till 9 30 and no one showed up. They messed up. That and the NUT appointments and monthly follow up is all I need after Wed when I do my stress test. Congrats on your date! So excited for you!
11. Wow! You must be getting excited now? I guess lots of things could happen and end up waiting longer. So far, 5 people from my work have had this surgery with the same doctor, so I am kind of basing it on those experiences. I just hope time flies. I'm ready to start my new life Now. Good luck to you and hope you get your date for your surgery.
12. Thank you. My doctor is in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, from what I understand. My insurance requires that I do 6 months supervised weight loss and numerous requirements including sleep study and upper GI and stress test. You're in early April? ! Wow that's great! Good luck to you !
13. I did join a gym and I am going 3x a week minimum. I look forward to every step of the way to learn more about how to improve my knowledge on fitness and nutrition. Thank you for the tips and the comments. I just wish it was a year from now. I feel very lucky to have people like you on here that share what you've learned through your experiences. Thank you
14. From what day do you start the 6 month countdown to wait for surgery? Is it from the first Dr. Visit? Do they ever do it a bit earlier than the 6 months? It seems so far away. End of July early August should be my surgery. Unless by some Miracle I get an earlier date.
15. I just figured it out. Lol
16. I am trying to learn how to use this app. Trying to add photo to profile and it won't work?
17. Ah that's so exciting! You can do this! Keep us posted!
18. So far I've met worth the Dr. Made a decision on getting the sleeve had my upper GI done and I am trying to not go crazy thinking about surgery being so far out. One of my friends from work just had surgery on Friday and is now home. I am so excited for her. I get to watch and learn what to expect for when I go. She and her husband both had the surgery together. She said back pain and headache was the first two days of pain. But it's getting better. Our Dr is Dr Lyass in Las Vegas Nevada. All of the nurses and the doctor were all so nice! I am 5ft4" and 207 lbs. My ultimate goal is to be about 135lbs. I cannot wait to be that confident thinner person again with more energy. I have gone on every diet known and lost 95lbs in the past. But it always comes back. I guess my surgery will maybe be some time in July? So far off it feels like! 5 months post op will be Christmas for me and we are planning a trip to see family. Wouldn't it be great if I have awesome results by then? I always shy away from getting my picture taken because I feel so Un attractive and unsightly. Can't wait! Good luck to all of you on here!
19. I'm new to here and just getting started with this whole processes. Very excited and hoping the next 6 months fly
20. Congrats! I just drove to the other side of town in Las Vegas to do my sleep study. I got there early to relax and take a sleep aid. I had an 8pm appointment. Waited. Knocked on the door. Called. Waited more. No show! Not a section of town you want to be alone in the dark. So bummed.
21. I'm in the very beginning stages. Have my sleep apnea scheduled tomorrow. I see you have had your surgery by now. How did it go? How are you feeling? I am excited for you and cannot wait for these 6 months to go by so I can be where you are at now!
