  1. Is the insurance Co basing approval on the first initial weigh in? I am at a borderline 40 Bmi so if I lose in the 6 months I am not approved in the end?
  2. You are truly inspiring. Wow. I am barely beginning this journey. Haven't even gotten through my 6 months and requirements from the insurance company. I daydream about the day I can post my success story like yours. I cannot wait. I hope I do half as well as you. Thank you for sharing.
  3. Well I guess the gym and the mall for walking until then.
  4. How soon after surgery can I swim? We live in the Las Vegas area and I will be having a summer surgery. If you have never been to Vegas in the summer, Let me tell you, it gets HOT! Swimming will be a big part of my exercise program in the beginning. Walking will have to be on the treadmill in the air conditioning. Lol
  5. I might just not tell them until after its all done and I am thinning down.

  10. OK so I am at 207lbs. Bmi is 40. I keep being told that I am on the line of what is required to be approved for wls. But I keep reading how others were 230lbs to begin and then did the pre op diet and the day of surgery weighed 193lbs . So how is or that the insurance company still approved surgery? So confused

  21. My exact feelings! My mom had a friend that she worked with who had by pass surgery that went wrong so I am fearful she will connect that with what I am doing (the sleeve) and freak out. I am 45 as well and terrified to tell my mom.
  22. My friend from work had her surgery last Friday. She has lost 13lbs. She and her hubby both had surgery. He's down 22lbs!
