  1. Waiting on my date as well. The anxiety is building up for me. I cannot wait!
  2. Like you I've lived for everyone else for years. Time to take care of and love me and without feeling guilty! Congratulations on your decision and journey. Here's to happier, healthier lives!!!! *hugs*
  3. Excited and praying for you!!!! Welcome to new beginnings. Please share your experience *hugs*
  4. That's what the surgical team has told me. I was disappointed in that I have a very mild level of sleep apnea. The physician in Sleep Medicine told me that usually for a case as mild as mine they wouldn't recommend a cpap. When the equipment is ready I intend to take full advantage though.
  5. I don't have my official date yet but just knowing I've met the requirements and my info had been submitted for approval, I'm excited, nervous and terrified all at the same time. Just a ball of nervous energy. Good luck to all!!!!
  6. Finished my appt and will be submitted to insurance by weeks end for approval! Yay!!!!!
  7. I'm at what should be my final appt before submission for approval. In the waiting room and nervous. If everything goes as planned I'll be submitted to insurance by the end of this week. *fingers crossed^
  8. You can do this. Mind over matter! Congrats!!!
  9. A few things changed in my end. Tomorrow I go to see my surgeon again since initially I asked for the sleeve and later decided on the gastric bypass. I go back regarding my sleep apnea on 3/18 and I've rescheduled my last psych eval to next week on 3/20. After that as long as all goes well I'll be submitted for approval at the end of next week. Whew!!! So anxious about it all.
  10. So excited for you all!!!! I moved my follow up psych eval to 3/20 since I've gotta follow up for my sleep apnea. Fingers crossed that I'll be done 3/20 and will then be submitted to insurance.
  11. Just found out I'll more than likely be April if not May. Just got the results to my sleep study and discovered I need a cpap. Dratts. Oh well, the party continues because I'm moving forward. Congrats to those who have their dates!!!
  12. Congratulations!!!!!! Are you excited???
  13. Hi all. I have three. My first is a spider on my upper tight thigh. I'm certain I was going through a rebellious phase at the time. I did that in my early 20's. The second is a tribal band around the same thigh. My last is on my upper left shoulder in script..."The Beautiful One Has Come" which is the meaning of my name. I love art and intend to get more before this summer.
  14. I needed this thread more than I ever knew. Just had a disagreement with my husband about his lack of understanding and so forth regarding my pending procedure.. A rather unproductive conversation, but such life. I may need to vent in here from time to time. Sheesh
  15. Ignore my post. Incorrect thread.
  16. I remind my best friend of this all the time and still have to remind myself.
  17. I've not tried it yet, but interested as well. Although overweight I've done fitness boot camps that included high impact aerobics and HIIT training (I think it's called). Anyway, loved them so I think id be willing to give this a try.
  18. I too was interested in the sleeve. As I did my research, personally for me, I decided that the bypass would be better for me. Good luck!
  19. I forgot I have my sleep study to complete which will be tonight - in addition to my last psych visit. Getting anxious about the reality of this all.
  20. LOL @ stalk other groups. I don't have a date yet but my dr has assured me no layer than April pending his schedule so I'll hand around with you
  21. If anyone is looking for place to sell their items, I use a site/app called Poshmark. Just thought I'd share. Prior to considering bariatric surgery I ran across the site and fell in love. As I begin to lose I intend to resale or gift every piece of clothing in my closets.
  22. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I'm still in my pre-op phase, but this information is absolutely priceless.
  23. I forgot to mention, I need to lose 8lbs prior to this next appointment so I'm dilegently working on watching my intake. Mentally preparing for the 2 weeks of liquids before surgery as well.
  24. Hi all - I'm in the greater Cleveland area here in Ohio. I am an employee of and will be having my surgery at Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Philip Schauer. Just one last pre-op appt scheduled for 3/5/14 before I have my final clearance then I'll be waiting for the approval from insurance (which I'm told is just a few days turnaround) then I'll have my date.
