  4. @@MissTrish14 Not ever....LOL - thanks for putting things in perspective! Can't believe I'm on day 10 now. I was terrified I wouldn't make it past day 1!
  5. @@DOMINICANA88 Good luck and praying that all will be well!!!!!!
  6. The end of day 9 on my liquid preop diet. Reality is setting in. Oh so nervous and wish these next few days would fly by. Worried I'm not losing enough, anxious about the procedure, looking forward to a new beginning. Sighs
  7. @@EmergingMissP It's mind over matter. You can do this! Remember why you're doing this and picture the end result. A new life is ahead of you. Try to stay busy and if you're a praying woman - P-R-A-Y *hugs*
  8. @@EmergingMissP I'm April 28th and going crazy! My pre-op diet was getting the best of me. I cheated, but got back on the saddle. A ball of every emotion possible. Monday, for me, can't come fast enough! I woke up today and said 6 more days to go *wowzers*
  9. @@jsc2 Prayers are with you and all will be well! Congratulations!!!!!
  10. Well, day 7 of 14 of my preop diet has come and gone. It's been touch and go the past few days, but I won't complain. Each day I wake up feeling lighter and try to use that as my motivation to stay on track. Getting more anxious and excited by the minute.
  11. Prayers for you that all will be well!!!! Excited for you.
  12. I've decided to only tell my husband and three close friends. I will discuss with my younger children, but not in detail, so they don't panic about me being away from home a few days. I went to my manager and let her know I was having a procedure and would be out a few weeks and let her know she should expect paperwork from HR regarding FMLA. Nothing else to be said. My husband has begged me to tell me in-laws, who have always been wonderful to me in EVERY aspect, but I've decided to even keep it hush from them.
  13. Hang in there. It's a constant struggle, but it'll be worth it. You can do this!
  14. 5 days of preop diet down....9 more to go. I need this preop diet to be over. Sheesh
  15. I'm April 28th but welcome, welcome!
  16. I love your honesty! Last night was day 3 of my 14 day pre-op diet and while I was making the kids some food last night - before I knew it I'd bitten a piece of cheese. It happens!
  17. Congratulations! Praying your recovery is a smooth process! Forgive me, I can be a bit of a clown....but if I go to the Dr for my one week visit and see a double digit loss on the scale I may start partying right then and there! LOL I am so excited for you! Cheers to your new life and even greater success!!!!!
  18. I am also the 28th and trying to do homework too keep my mind off of surgery but not working out!! I met with surgeon today and found out I might end up with the sleeve instead if gastric bypass. It has to do with current hernia and being able to move the intestines around. I can say I was disappointed I feel like I shouldn't be, I am still receiving WLS but just the chance worries me. Hopefully everyone is doing great pre-op and post-op We're triplets! LOL Oh, please don't get discouraged. Just remember, no matter what the outcome, either procedure is a tool - YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! I'm in Northeast Ohio and if I need to hit 71-S so we can lean on one another to get through any aspect of this then I'll do that! We need all of the support we can get, but the best is yet to come *hugs*
  19. My surgery sister! We're twins (28th) lol I've been experiencing all of the same. I'm actually at my preop appts now. The dr did say sugar free gum was okay for me to kill that urge to chew. My patience has been much thinner with my husband vs my sons. Poor Mr. Jones. I don't eat yogurt so I didn't ask if it was allowed, but maybe I should. The broth and protein are boring but I'm tolerant. I had the sf jello yesterday. Didn't care for it. The upside to this, like you said, I'm down -8 as of this morning. That part made me feel good and I can feel the difference. I'm holding on to that piece of happiness to carry me into surgery on the 28th. My little bit of motivation.
  20. Good luck to you on your new journey!!! Praying all goes well!!!!!
  21. I'm not 100% sure but I am going for preop testing this morning and will ask. Day two wasn't as bad - a little touch and go, but I survived.
  22. Day one of my two week liquid preop diet. It was a constant struggle. I had to prepare food for my sons. The hardest thing on earth. Afterwards I had broth a hot bath and climbed in bed. I've been in my room as to not be tempted. I know this process is necessary, as hard as it is so I'm going to push through it.
  23. Prayers are with you. Wishing you the most success ever.
  24. Day 1 for me was rough. Can't get over that urge to "chew" arghhhhh I had to make my sons a pizza when we came in. That was tough. I think I only survived because I came upstairs, sipped broth and showered. I'm still in my room.
