  9. You got this Jackie!!! I will soon need your support on this liquid diet in a few weeks myself. Until then I'm here to give you support chica! So drink that yummy liquid, sip it up, hold your nose and get it done! LOL Good Luck!!!!
  10. I want to touch on this subject... I read so much about it from so many people on here. Having your spouse/significant other/family SUPPORT is very important for YOU, right? If we had it our way they would all give us 100% Support and back us up all the way. But unfortunately it doesn't always work in our favor all the time. Sometimes we need to realize that we must LOVE ourselves first before worrying about everyone elses opinions. YOU are doing this for YOU!!! Be selfish for ONCE in YOUR life and do what is BEST for YOU! At the end of the day, your loved ones will see your success and be happy for you. And if not, guess what....YOU will be! Remember everyone, we are doing this for our own individual reasons. Joining this app has become very therapeutic for me. I wish you all the best with your decisions, best of luck and a long, happy and HEALTHY life! "Enjoy reinventing the NEW HEALTHY YOU" ~Jessica
  11. Hi Steph! My surg date was April 30 and found out today since I'm done with all my test, only need final nutrition class which is April 4...now my surg date has been moved up to April 23!!! I'm super pumped and excited! Best wishes on your wls journey!
  12. Please post your average weight loss on your pre op liquid diet. How many weeks/days you did it? If you can, share your start weight? I'm 5'4" 289lbs female, will be starting my liquid diet in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing in advance!
  13. To not have backpain anymore. To fit in a plastic lawn chair comfortably. To not look for the Plus size section in a clothing store. To be able to start a family. Sit in the plane seat and buckle seatbelt. Sit in a small car and not feel like big foot. Go to the beach in a bathing suit, no t-shirt or coverup. To be pain free. No more high blood pressure. To just be healthy.
  14. Hi Jackie! GL with your WLS journey! I'm in Fort Lauderdale, FL surg date April 30. My hubby is supportive but a little hesitant about it sometimes. We just have to remind ourselves this is the beginning to a new healthy you!
  15. Hi Divatude, I'm still preop (surg date April 30) and your start weight is actually the weight I am now. Losing 24lbs in 6 weeks is awesome! Don't stress over your cravings girlie. 16. Ladybug it is best you do tell at least your closest relative. Just remember why you are doing this. This is your life and you want to be healthy. At the end of the day people will always have their own opinions but what matters is what YOU want. I wish you the best on your wls journey! Stay positive and enjoy transforming the NEW YOU!
  17. Update Recruiter called me today and said they can't give me 2 weeks off for surgery but the good news is they can postpone my start date to after my surgery recovery! I am so happy this worked out...so NEW ME & NEW JOB!

  21. Talk about bad timing. My surg is sched for April 30 and my dream job that I've always wanted called me to offer me the job! Aaaaaahhh I have such mixed feelings. My health comes first and after a lot of thought and discussing it with husband and family, I decided to tell them that I would be having surg end of April...(start date is march 31) and recruiter told me it shouldn't be a prob but needs to ask HR and hiring mngr. She said she would let me know tomorrow, finger crossed and prayers up! I hope it works out in my benefit.
