  3. United health care approved me within 24 hrs of my letter being submitted. It was a breeze. The whole process from first phone call to surgeon to surgery date only took me about a month. I was truly blessed.
  4. My Dr. doesn't "require" it either. I did like wearing it. Loved the support but the rash has just gotten worse and worse. It's so itchy with the binder on. I am going to try wearing a tank top under it today and see how that works. Sent the hubby to the store to find something to rub on it and he came back with a few things so hopefully it will clear up. I am miserable right now from the surgery. Don't have time for a rash.
  5. I have stopped wearing the binder and hopefully this will get better.
  6. I didn't have morphine as far as I know and I've taken lortab before. I was thinking maybe the binder but not sure. It is soooo aggravating on top of everything else. I too will be so glad when it's gone. Hoping Benadryl will work.

I have UHC and my approval took less than 24 hrs. My drs office and I were amazed. They said they had never seen anyone approved that fast. The whole process only took me a little over a month and just had surgery on the 21st.
  8. Has anyone experienced a red rash around your abdomen after sleeve surgery. I noticed it the day I came home from the hospital, which was Sunday and it has gradually gotten worse. It's very itchy and irritating.
  9. I would like more info and like to join. Bamagirl197612@yahoo.com
  10. I am having some incisional pain for sure. The largest one is the most painful. I am also having the gas pain. My neck and shoulders are so sore I can't hardly lift my arms. I have experienced some nausea and had to spend an extra day in the hospital because of it. Just having a hard time getting comfortable.
  11. I am 3 days post op and in a tremendous amount of pain. I was sent home with liquid lortab but not getting much relief. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
  12. I am getting my sleeve Friday. YAY!!! I'm so anxious and excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait though. Just praying for no compilations and speedy recovery. Sooo close.

It was required for it to be consecutive months. Most of mine were but not all of them. Have just been seeing the same dr for a few yrs and could use those records. When I talked with the lady that called me back she emailed me a 6 month sheet for the drs office to fill out.

I also have united health care. My surgeons office called and verified that bariatric surgery was in fact covered. I also had to call and enroll in their bariatric plan. I waited just a few days and the nurse called me back. I was able to use my records from my pcp for the last 6 months and had to do an evaluation. After getting those records to my drs office they submitted the request and I was actually approved the very next day. I am having surgery this Friday. Yay!!!! So excited.
