  1. I found the Torani syrups at a larger Wal-Mart today. Still no premier shakes. I'm going to Sams Club this evening. I know this will get easier, I'm just used to shopping one place and not putting a lot of thought into it! (Look where that got me!)????
  2. Thanks for the advice on the yogurt. I guess I got wrapped up in everything else bring sugar free...jello, pudding, Popsicles, etc.
  3. I probably need to shop at Publix or a bigger Wal/Mart. I was so aggravated! They were sold out of B1, had stopped carrying Torani syrups, and didn't gave half the stuff in my list!
  4. I start my pre-op all liquid diet on Tuesday...I read the requirements...made an extensive list and headed off to Wal-Mart. Needless to say, I have never shopped for the "healthy" and sugar free stuff and ended up running all over the store. I was pumped to buy the Premier shakes since they are highly recommended. They do not carry them! Then I stood dumbfounded in the yogurt aisle!!! I thought everything was supposed to be sugar free! I could not find any sugar free yogurt but settled for Dannin Fit & Light. Suggestions please!!
  5. I'm 24th! 2 weeks!!!! I'm excited, nervous, anxious, ...etc. I have my nutrition class and my pre-op appt tomorrow and I will be ready!
  6. I was going to keep it to just my hubby and kids. They would not tell anyone. But I got to thinking about "what ifs" and told my mom and sister. My sister is keeping it to herself but my mom has told her sisters, my brother's girlfriend etc. When I asked her she said well they're just family! So only tell people if you are willing for it to get out!!!
  7. My surgery is the 24th and I have not had to have this done! Now I'm worried they will find something during the procedure. Does anyone know if it is abnormal to NOT have this test?
  8. My insurance excludes all wls. I still chose a bariatric center of excellence because it included complications insurance for self pay. I was not willing to bankrupt my family if I am in the percentage that has problems. The complication insurance covers you for all extenuating complications for 6 months. I am scheduled with Dr Schmitt, Birmingham, AL.
  9. My date is June 24th. I only have 1 week of total liquids so I also start my pre-op the 17th. Enjoy the beach and don't let the food (or lack of food) get you down. Focus on saying to yourself...the next time I come to the beach I will look amazing!!!
  10. I'm June 24th in Alabama. I really need to stop reading these posts about complications because it is freaking me out!!!
  11. My date is going to be that week. I'm having my surgery in Birmingham, AL. I'm 43 and wish I had done this years ago. It has seemed "unreal" until now. I may go into full panic mode when I get the exact date!
  12. I'm standing on that ledge and can't seem to step off! Congratulations on taking the plunge!
