I looked into the baloon in MX and could not find anyone who did the procedure. Well, I did find one but was warned that they use outdated baloons.

It is still too expensive in the US.

My surgery is tomorrow. I feel really weak and tired today. I think that is due to the liquid diet I have been on. I have to report to the hospital at 5:30am. Maybe it will happen before I am fully awake and have time to think about what I am doing. I am not very nervious yet. Hope I stay that way!

I'm on my 4th day of a 5 day liquid diet. It has been hard but doable. I am down over 6 pounds. Yay! I am really tired and out of it this morning. Not looking forward to going to work. Just 2 more days till my surgery. I'm not really scared - yet. I figure it will hit me the night before. I am excited by the fact that I have lost so much weight and feel optomistic that I will be able to get down to my goal after surgery.

Started my 5 day liquid diet today. Surgery is scheduled for the 23rd. Ate my last meal last night - rack of ribs and a cold stone ice cream. Things are getting serious.

My surgery just got moved to July 23rd from August 4th do to a cancellation. So it looks like I will be a July sleever as well.

I finally got the approval from my insurance company and have set the date for August 4th. Been at this since December.

I just got my approval. All they needed was a copy of my sleep apnea diagnosis. I am waiting to hear back from the Hospital to schedule the surgery.

Did this ever get resolved? I'm going through the thing now.

I have UHC Choice Plus as well. I was told I had to do 6mo dieting as well. I'm on my last month and am getting excited. Wayne

Hi, I am wondering about what happens with my GERD after I am sleeved. Right now it is under control with medication. I have read that some people end up getting a revision to a gastric bypass because there acid reflux gets worse after they are sleeved. I don't want to end up getting a revision and am wondering how prevalent this problem is. Should I just go with a gastic bypass so I don't have to worry about getting a revision? TIA. Dallas
