  3. Who did you go through for your surgery. I don't think you should feel blind. This process is hard. I am almost 3 weeks out but you have to make sure you are getting your Protein and Fluid in. It is hard and it can take all day and some days I am NOT good at it but start off with a Protein Drink and just keep sipping'. But whoever did your surgery should have educated you on what needed to be done as follow up. You should know what stage you are at and what phases of food that you can have. While I know you don't want to do a lot of research because you are not feeling well first thing you need to do is start sipping fluids... I might even suggest you go and get some G2 gatorade to get those electrolytes going.
  4. Would love to hear if anyone will be here for surgery on or around the 8th. I am getting a little nervous but very excited to start my journey!! Pre-op diet is royally messing with my head hunger. But I GOT THIS!!! Can't wait to be sleeved. Looking forward to using this "tool" to kick start life again. I am sure it is completely normal to be head hungry, nervous and excited. 4 lbs off since I started the pre-op diet Starting weight 213 Hypothyroid Thyroid Cancer Survivor
  5. I did get mine. Didn't want to risk it. I expedited and got it a week later so I am ready to go for surgery on the 8th. The passport arrived in my birthday way cool!!!
  6. Anyone able to get cell phone coverage through Verizon while in TJ? What should I expect? Also wondering if I will be able to use my standard plug in devices such as will I need an adapter? I am probably over analyzing things but I want to be prepared I have Ipad, Iphone, Heating Pad. Thanks for your help.
  7. How does one take medications after surgery. I am worried about this? I have to take synthroid everyday no way around it. How do others tackle taking daily med's. I also take topomax for migraines and a few others. Please help, I am all set for March 7th.
  8. I will be there the 8th - 12th I am so nervous yet very excited!!! Booked my tickets today!!!
  9. I have been doing some research and I am almost ready to get up the nerve to call OCC but I would like to know do I need a passport? Did you have a passport? Was it required. It didn't sound like most people were actually in TJ for more than 72 hours please advise. I just read the following: Tijuana, Mexico, lies less than an hour from San Diego, and many Americans head there for its cheap products and raucous atmosphere. Crossing the border into Mexico usually takes just a few minutes, and American travelers going no farther south than Ensenada for 72 hours or less do not need a Mexican tourist card. To cross back into America, travelers must have certain documents on hand. Proof of CitizenshipAmericans without passports or special documents also can return across the border from Tijuana with two proofs of citizenship, according to Frommer's. The most common documents include a driver's license and birth certificate, though documents such as military identification also work. Travelers 18 and younger must have a birth certificate if they are crossing without a passport.
