  1. I did reduce my portions and I'm definitely not has hungry as I was when pregnant. However, I don't get those stomach pangs when I eat too much or are too full anymore, so that's a downfall. However my babe is only 6 weeks so maybe over time with a shrunk, smaller pouch I'll get that part back. Fingers crossed because that was a great tool for me too.
  2. I've been so hungry during this pregnancy. I'm 2.5 yrs post op gastric sleeve, lost 135 lbs, only 20lbs from goal when I got pregnant. I've only gained 12 lbs and I'm 7 months along. I eat really really healthy, but I stopped measuring portions months ago. I just pulled out a 1cup measuring cup and panicked because i realize I've been eating 1.5 to 2 cup portions. And I'm not in pain when I do it. So I'm freaked out! Anyone know if I can shrink my pouch again? Most worried about it once I deliver. It's just I've been so hungry with this baby, she is definitely requesting more food. Or should I start reducing portions now? I know we aren't doctors here, just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences.
  3. I'm taking biotin daily for hair loss. Sometimes I forget my vitamins and I notice my hair loss is more during the next 2 days. Biotin helps will hair loss and nail strength.
  4. Hello, I had surgery Jan 30th and I'm in the middle of my 2nd stall. I'm pretty pissed off about it. I had my first stall when Aunt Flow was here. The scale said I gained 4 lbs but after a week it came off and I lost 10 more lbs. Now, it says I've gained 6lbs!! I'm infuriated. I'm drinking Water, exercising, taking Vitamins and eating 5-600 cals. Yes my old pairs of jeans are fitting but I want to see numbers move on the scale. If nothing else, I could use some words of encouragement.
  5. When it comes to carbs you want to make it worth your while nutrition wise. I eat half of a whole wheat sandwich thin. It's 50 calories for half and has I think 7 grams of protein. Also Barilla has a whole grain pasta that has 21 grams of protein. Just remember that protein should be half your plate (from my knowledge) then u can do carbs and a vegetable or fruit.
  6. How is everyone doing with weight loss progression and exercise? I'm barely exercising. I'm losing weight but I want to maximize this first few months and get my motivation in gear to start exercising.
  7. I think you will feel a lot better once starting soft foods. It makes a big difference in energy. I also noticed a boost after starting my vitamins. I had surgery 1/30 btw.

  12. Hi Sarah! I was sleeved Jan 30th in Colorado Springs by Dr. Fedorak. Would love to know how you are doing and feeling? I'm feeling really alone in this process. I'm married and have a 10 month old son but I have no one to go through this journey with. Would love to be a buddy!

  14. Had surgery on the Jan 30 2014. Wondering if anyone else close to me is going through this too. Would love to have a buddy to go through this with!
  15. Just wondering if there is any local sleever going through the same post op stages as myself?
  16. I lost 12 lbs from date of surgery. I haven't been eating much due to the post above and have been walking every day. Walking every day is so exhausting!
  17. Yes they did give me one but I must have been confused when I left. The person who was supposed to give me discharge information and discussion was in a meeting when I was discharged so the nurse gave me a rundown and I thought I was on the stage 1 liquid diet for 8 days. Come to find out I was on stage 2 after 24 hrs which includes cream soups, sf pudding, yogurt, cottage cheese. I was so annoyed because I had been so fatigued and nauseas. I had "food" last night once I read over my booklet again and I'm feeling so much better.
  18. I would have been furious and embarrassed. Embarrassed only because she gave a different answer than you. My parents have taken it upon themselves to tell almost every single person they know. I'm pissed off about that. It's my story to tell, not theirs. I've only told my best friend and my husband (obviously). I just don't want my personal story to end up broadcasted on Facebook. People who do that have to find a way to make all life about themselves. It's selfish of them. And they look shocked when your mad that they tell people. My parents came to help us with my 10month old while I was in the hospital and almost every story they told was about how they were talking to someone and how that someone knew someone who did it. It makes me wonder if this topic is the start of every conversation they have! Ugh! I could vent all day. I'm sorry that you were caught off guard.
  19. Hello! I had surgery jan 30, 2014. I'm struggling to understand what I need to be eating. 5 days post op I realized I could have been having soups, sf pudding. I had been miserable and extremely nauseous only eating protein shakes. Any way, I wanted to introduce myself and say thank goodness there is an easily accessible support group. So today is day 6 post op and I've lost 20lbs.
