I'm three weeks post op and just now have noticed feeling more energetic. Some days I felt it was all I could do to get up. My butt was literally dragging lol ... but it is getting better now!

3 weeks post op and finally starting to feel "normal". Was just getting my energy back and had started working out on my elliptical when I just had to fall down a flight of steps! No breaks or fractures showing but my foot is so swollen they can't do an MRI to see if anything is torn. So now I'm in a boot with strict instructions to keep it elevated for one week when I have to go back to the orthopedic Doctor. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am!!! Y'all got any chair exercises or any advice for me?

I got the same recording so I dialed the number that shows up on my caller ID. Sharon answered at Insure and they had no clue the 800 number isn't working. She said she would report it ASAP. She also said you can dial her at her direct number of 323 406 9044 until this 800 number problem is resolved. Hope this helps!

Sorry no it doesn't mean you are covered. They have to get the signed script to send to your insurance company for approval.

My insurance is United Healthcare but my prescription plan has CVS Caremark on it.

They will call you and let you know as soon as your insurance informs them.

Dang! Do you have a prescription plan? Is that the information you gave them? At first I gave them my health insurance information and was denied but they have to submit to your prescription plan.

No. They took mine with just my surgery date.

Oh I plan to do that SandeeD I don't know if it has to be your WLS doctor or not. I would call and check it out.

This is a specific scar cream they compound. Not sure of any brand to recommend. They offered me the cream but I (like a big dummy) said no. Now I could kick myself!

I didn't get the scar cream but my friend did and loves it! I'm going to get my Doctor to write me a script for it!

I have a drain and lucky me I get to keep it 10 days! Ugh... I hate it! I think it is a major source of the discomfort I'm experiencing post op.

I don't know but it wouldn't hurt to try. Doesn't cost anything to apply and they do all the work for you. Go for it!

Lol .... Insurance really doesn't want to pay for anything they don't have to..... Loose skin I can deal with it when that time comes. I just want to be healthier and definitely more active!! You won't know if they will pay till you try so good luck on that. I have to admit I was SHOCKED when they did!! I just want to spread the love!!! Let us know if you get it approved!
