  1. That's so nice of you! I can't figure out how to PM but I am in Medford if your still looking for someone to take them.
  2. I am a nursing student and expected back on the Thursday after my Monday surgery. Not to sure if THAT will happen, although it's just 4 hours of listening to a lecture. However I am due back in a pediatric clinical that following Monday. They usually are not to extensive, just a lot of observing. Hopefully I feel up to it. I can not miss more than 1 day during this rotation. I figure if someone drives me and I have pain control I should be okay.
  3. Thanks for all the replies. I may use it just for my shakes to keep my calories in check. I have no problem drinking regular 1% milk when I drink plain milk.
  4. Can I use that in my pre and post op shakes instead of 1% or skim milk?
  5. What do you think? Is this allowed during the 10 day preop liquid diet? What about after?
  6. Getting up a not usually an issue for me in school. So I am really really hoping that all heals well.
  7. Wow! What a difference. How long were you on the pain pump? I need to be up and ready to go ASAP.
  8. Am doing this during my spring break from nursing school. I HAVE to be back 1 wk post op. No heavy lifting or anything. How should I expect to feel? I've had 4 csection a and recovered really good from them. What about sex? When can we resume post op?
  9. Just waiting on my approval then I am all set for April 21st. Just bought some unjury and bariatric fusion to get me through my 10 days pre op. So excited!
  10. Did you guys have any stipulations with regard to the nutrition classes? Do I need 30 days between each class?
  11. Echo went well and my new dr. is fantastic. Just waiting on the transfer of my medical info.
  12. Okay pulmonary function test done. What a PITA. Everything went great with the exception of the question if I snore...going for a sleep study to determine if I have sleep apnea. Then I have to do one w the cpap machine. All scheduled first week of march. Seeing my new dr. Wednesday. Hopefully still on track
  13. I am going for my pulmonary visit tomorrow. I have done my blood work, upper GI, chest X-ray, ultrasound, and EKG. Going to meet my new dr. On Wednesday (insurance issue) and am having my echo on Thursday. Hopefully I'm still on track from a spring break surgery. I am from Medford.
  14. Me too! I am hoping and wishing that everything gets done in time for an April 19 date!
  15. Hi! Has anyone used this surgeon?
  16. I am not planning to tell anyone but my 7 nursing school classmates, my instructors ( since I won't be able to lift at clinicals for a while), my husband and a few close friends. Not telling my kids because my ex would find out and I don't want any more negativity from him. That's it....
  17. I had to find a new Dr. And am going for my visit on the 19th. My insurance kind of messed me up. Luckily I can continue with my pre op appointments and have them sent over. I am going to be seeing Dr. medvetz in Willingboro at Lourdes Hospital. Does anyone know anything about her?
  18. I am south jersey too. Had to change dr.'s due to insurance... I am now seeing Dr. medvetz in Willingboro at Lourdes Hospital.
  19. Okay, I have an appt with a different dr on feb 19. I can still keep my cardia and pulmonary appts and have it all transferred over. Wish me luck!
  20. That's what they are going to do. I have my fingers crossed for a good outcome!
  21. Had my consult on dec 16. Got a call from the dr's office in early jan that all was good. Went for my pulmonary and upper gi tests. Spoke to my insurance comp today (anthem bcbs) and they are now saying my hospital is not a blue hospital of distinction and I won't be covered there. My dr is a dr of excellence or something like that. I called the office and they are confused too. They have other anthem patients that haven't had a problem. Ugh. I want to know ASAP so I can keep my time frame and change dr's if need be. I hate this. Will I have to start from scratch? Has this happened to anyone else?
  22. What should I expect? What about the meeting with the nutritionist?
  23. For those who have been sleeved already, how much have you lost so far? Any regrets? Any tips to help me? Maybe something you wish you had known before surgery. Thanks in advance!
  24. Medford here! In the middle of my testing. Hoping to get sleeved in April
