  1. I am dazed and confused! I'll blame it on the heat! Last time I was on scale 220, :'(
  2. July, mmm, I think I'll aim for 210! I know its aggressive but I need to start exercising so here goes nothing! CW 223.5
  3. Hair loss is a result of hormones adjusting and trauma (surgery), happens to some and not others!
  4. Nicely done Lady! I admire that you are running! Those muscles your going to get from strength training are going to look super sexy on that skinny body of yours! Congratulations on your wonderful success!
  5. It has been suggested that I increase complex carbs so I'll focus on that for a couple of days and see if that helps.
  6. Forgot to mention, I am vegetarian BUT I am eating fish, eggs and dairy. Yes, I have been exhausted since surgery, I am not anemic.
  7. I am @12 weeks out, down @52lbs. Where is the burst of energy! I am so tired, I have zero energy! I am getting in my protein, hydration, B12...I feel so drained! My thyroid numbers are supposedly normal, I am 52, I am menopausal, anyone have some insight or suggestions of what I should try.
  8. The first couple of weeks can be a challenge, focus on hydrating, take it real slow! Your tummy needs to heal and there could be a lot of swelling, it takes time!
  9. I have seen and heard about this happening. Keep it dry, use your hair dryer on low setting, use an antifungal on it.
  10. You need good sleep, are you working nights? Tell your sister your home is your sanctuary, no one allowed without your approval, ever! Set those boundaries girl!!! Make your emotional, and physical health a priority! Do a pouch test to reset your eating! You've done it before, you can do it again!
  11. I had surgery in Mexico, was not interested in playing games with my insurance. I have heard of lots of people "padding" their weight to get qualified. Stash rolls of quarters in your bra! For every Mexico horror story, there is an American horror story!
  12. So I have heard about this wonderful surge of energy that happens after wls. I am @12 weeks out and down @50 lbs, I am exhausted! Protein, fluids, vitamins and B12 daily, still drained and lethargic. All I want to do is sleep. According to traditional medicine my thyroid levels are normal, I am menopausal. I am 52. Any ideas on what direction I should look for help?
  13. Wow, you scar and heal beautifully! Your Dr. was in TJ? How much was your plastics?
  14. Looks great! Congratulations!
  15. Odds and stats. I knew that I would suffer from multiple complications from being obese. The chances of complications with surgery were so small that the decision was obvious, I had to have the sleeve so I could have a decent life. Food is fuel, not my friend, not my lover, not my family. I want to be here with my family. And I don't want them having to take care of me because I can not care for my own fat ass! Today I was on a plane and I had extra room in my seat! I did not eat cake at my sister in laws birthday lunch because I knew I was too full...who does that! Me! I am the person that never left any food on my plate, or yours and then I'd have dessert, and yours...not any more! If you have a broken leg you go get it fixed, I had a broken, sick, dis-eased relationship with food that was destroying my body, so I got it fixed. I was 100% sure what I was doing and had done did not work so I went with what statistically had better odds for success! Down over 50 lbs in 11 weeks!
  16. I like to juice, I feel better and feel like I am healing my body.
  17. 228...out of the 230's, yay! Love seeing those numbers and knowing that the next breakthrough is the teens!
  18. You need to build muscle! Being post menopausal your losing muscle, add muscle and you won't care what the scale says! Your body fat % is already pretty low adding muscle is going to look amazing on you and it well happen quickly!
  19. 7 weeks for me. I really felt out of sorts and wondered why everyone else felt so great, I thought by 6 weeks but it didn't really click till 7 weeks. I am still waiting for that big burst of energy!
  20. 233 ...need to exercise!
  21. Count me in for the next challenge!
