  1. It's a strange thing I know, but I'm not sure how I should be feeling now. Never needed the validation before but I seem to need it now...
  2. Ok, I have lost 50lbs but still feel fat! So..., what's the real problem? I don't feel visible yet, still not noticed. I know, pity party! I just don't know how to feel good about myself...yet advice? Surgery was 5-5/14, starting weight 205...
  3. Been wondering what has happened???
  4. Omg I know what you mean! I'm still forcing myself to fit into larger sizes! It's like I'm scared to be smaller.... Maybe if my husband made some compliments it would be better.. Is it me or him that's struggling with the weight loss
  5. They spray stuff is good but I would suggest getting a non stick pan too!
  6. My advice is to get clothes that are sort of tight so you can work towards making those loose! Keep you eyes on the prize!
  7. Ok it's been up and down! But I'm still committed! Been having some cocktails but trying to stay strong... Logging my food, hoping others notice I look better...uggg this is really hard. I'm studying for my license exam and sooo stressed. Any advice???
  8. How's all May sleevers! I'm struggling but keeping my eyes on getting to size 9!!!
  9. Sleeved 5/5, started at 205 down to 159... I feel like I should be lower . Wearing a 12 now
  10. I used to have great dialogue on this web site until they changed the format. Does anyone else feel like that?
  11. I've been worried about sliding back too. I've started having alcohol and notice that I eat the WRONG food when I drink. I missed having fun with my friends so I reintroduced alcohol, but I feel like it is stalling my weight loss. I want to find a good balance but don't know how to do that....I need to get back on track too!
  12. Hey jenelle are you staying on track? I've been struggling a bit and hope this weigh loss picks up again. Sleeved 5-5 down 40 lbs
  13. Wow, I so needed to read this today. I went n for my 3 mo appointment today(a few weeks late) and my doctor mentioned the same thing about sweets. Recently I have started allowing some sweets to my diet. A few cookies here a little too much fruit there, a bite of cake ect. I feel awful about it. I am so worried about gaining the 40 pounds I have lost but have started to see old patterns again. As I left my doctor visit today I thought about my initial motivation to get the surgery. I wanted to avoid getting diabetes like my mom but I also wanted something else... To be noticed . It sounds awful to say it but it's true. My family has congratulated me on my progress and cheer me on but not much else has changed. Now when I look in the mirror I'm just a less fat , fat person. Pity party for one your table is ready! Anyway , I just wanted to say that I understand your worry and frustration regarding old "bad habits".
  14. Sleeved 5/5 and weight loss has been slow but steady. I'm down 40 lbs (lost 6 on preop diet). I'm still exercising 2-3x a week, limit carbs and staying between 800- 1000 calories a day.
  15. That is fantastic! Ok details. What have you been eating ? Excercise? Food cheats? Daly protein mgs?
  16. Sleeved May 5, down 35 lbs including preop loss. Feeling discouraged. I'm at a stall at 170, but I've also been on two long weekend mini vacations and probably not eating the best. I have been exercising consistently and calories staying around 800-900/day. I gotta get back on track just need a little motivation ...
  17. Thanks to all of you for your kind words of encouragement. I look forward to the single digits soon!
  18. Started this journey on May 5th wearing an 16/18 pant. I just left the store with a size 12 in hand. This is truly amazing as I cannot remember the last time I wore a size 12. This is a great day!!! Just had to share..... Size 10 here I come!
  19. Omg, I remember this feeling and yes it was awful. I got this sense of restlessness and anxiety about a week or two after surgery(sleeved May 5). I never even thought about asking for meds because I thought it was all in my head. I know how you're feeling and hope it gets better soon. The only thing that helped me was keeping busy. Every time I felt restless I took a walk through my house or did some cleaning. I did anything to distract myself. Hope this helps
  20. Just means you're healing . Try not to scratch, get some Aveeno lotion, it helps
  21. Hey jenelle, great to hear from you. It sounds like the weight loss is progressing well. A date, that's really cool! Keep up the good work!
  22. Hey Jenelle, haven't heard from you in a while..... How is life? It's odd but I always looked forward to your posts and now wondering what's up. Be well
