  6. I think this is normal. You're reinventing yourself. You need to get to know the "new you". Try to change your thinking to view this as an exciting adventure or journey. I know that's easier said, than done. Start with just trying to notice your thoughts, try not to let the negative ones lead to more negativity. Know that you're not alone. I am only 8 weeks post op, but I've been feeling depressed lately. I've always struggled with depression though, so it's nothing new. Keep getting support from where you can and believe that it will get better!!

  9. Maybe I'm not the best person to answer, but I'm going on 7 weeks post op and had my 1st drink last night. I did fine, but I sipped the same drink for well over an hour. Keep in mind that we are all very different and it could affect you differently than someone else. It's certainly not going to be a regular thing for me, but I was at a celebration and took it very slowly to see how I would handle it. Good luck making your decision and know that it is quite possible to have fun without having a drink
