  1. Update: I got my approval about a week ago. My surgery will be June 16th .
  2. According to them, that is the policy. They will not give out leave pay if they cant confirm if you actually had surgery.

  4. My doctor says walk walk walk! After 4 weeks we can start to weight train. I will probably go to the gym for light cardio
  5. My company is so horrid with the leave process. They won't let me request a leave until 2 days before surgery ,then they will be calling the hospital to insure I actually had surgery.
  6. There is a thread for ds.it is under the "other types of weight loss surgery" section.
  7. I think we all are passionate about the surgery we have chosen/had. Its all about what you want and what will work best for you.
  8. I will say I went to my appt fully ready to get the sleeve. My doctor told me I am a great candidate for bypass and that because of my reflux ,he would not recommend the sleeve. I think both options are great, you just have to go with what's best for you.
  9. I wonder if they make a liquid biotin..or is the pill small enough to take. I worry about hair loss because I have a mild form of alopecia ,but I'm ok with wearing a wig if it comes to that.
  10. I am also 28. I need to lose about 125 pounds or so. I'm a bit confused because my surgeon did not tell me that bypass was for 200+ pounds people.
  11. Update: now that I've gotten approved,I've started to tell people closest to me. I still have a lot of family that doesn't know.
  12. I was all set to get the sleeve until my surgeon told me that the sleeve could make my reflux worse . I think they are both great options. Good Luck
  13. Congrats! I am scheduled for June 16th
