I ask because I recently saw a show in which a woman said she could not have any children post gastric bypass. Let me know your thoughts
  14. Hi There! I have sort of been lurking the board and thought I would say hi. I am 27 and work at a hospital. I will be having Gastric Bypass sometime this summer (Trying to save up vacation time) and have started the process. My insurance (bcbs) does not require any sort of diets so I am starting to schedule all of my appt. I am going to a pulmonogist, cardiologist and will be having a visit with the suregon soon. Dr. Gerald Cahill in Evergreen Park will be doing my surgery. I just wanted to say hi to everyone!!!
  15. I hope this went through for you! My friend was supposed to have the sleeve and the same thing happened! She was approved for the bypass but it took an extra week .
  16. I wont be telling anyone (other that my mom) about my surgery. I just feel that I dont want a ton of people knowing because I dont want to hear all of the comments.
  17. Hi I am new but will be having my surgery with Dr.Cahill at Little Company of Mary Hospital.
  18. My friend gained weight to get to a bmi of 40 (hers was 39!) and she was approved in no time. It seems as if the insurance companies are only concerned about the bmi and not the comorbidity .
