  1. Okay guys. I had revision band to leave yesterday. Every thing this far has been amazing! I haven't had a lot pain except by the drain site. From the drivers to Dr Lopez has been all I expected. They all are very nice and speak great English for the most part. I go for the leak test in a little while. Can not wait to get some apple juice! Lol
  2. I'm at the hospital Mi Doctors now. I've had all my preop and everything was great. I'm just waiting my turn. So far everything has been awesome. Praying God will watch over the surgeon team and help me get to be the healthy person I long to be! Talk to y'all soon!
  3. Praying you guys had a great surgery! Can't wait to hear all about it! I know you all will be fine! God bless!
  4. Hi Joanna! I will be there Friday. Please keep me posted. I'm so excited. This is not my first surgery in Mexico. The first time I was treated like royalty. Have heard nothing but good stuff about Lopez. Thanks for the details and the pics!
  5. Praying for you now! I'll be there Friday. Please post and let us know how you are as soon as you are able. You are gonna do great!
  6. Otown...did you have any idea that you were anemic and where are you? (HOSPITAL) who is your surgeon?
  7. I'll be right behind you on Friday! Good Luck!!
  8. Okay I'll be at Mi Hospital but I will be at the Marriott. Maybe we can get together. Don't stress they treat you like royalty. I had the band in Mexico in 2005 and am returning for a revision. You are in for a sweet surprise. Just relax! I am so confident I am bringing a close friend of mine to have the sleeve done. Just remember positive thoughts! And walk walk walk!!!
  9. Db1982 who are you using for surgery and where? I'm using Lopez and will be having surgery the same day.
  10. My Dr is Lopez. I'm actually having it done with my best friend. She is having the sleeve and I'm having a revision to sleeve. This isn't my first surgery in Mexico. First time was so amazing I decided to return. They treat you like royalty. I'm beyond ready. I've had the band for almost 9 years and it has been miserable!!!
  11. Hey I'll be there on the 12th!! Maybe I'll see you there:))
  12. Yes.. I have started the dreaded pre op. The worst part has been the caffeine headaches. First couple of days were awful but I'm making it. I haven't had any caffeine and I think that has been the worst. However I was told to drink lots of fluid so I believe that has helped. I also started walking an hour a day just to fill my lungs and pump my heart. I know my body is saying why are you punishing me lol. Anyways it will all be good in the end!
  13. I'm on day 3 of pre op diet and have a horrible lingering headache. Does anyone know any tricks for caffeine withdrawal??
  14. So glad to hear these stories. I'm scheduled for the 12th of this month and as we speak I'm choking on tuna. So ready for this beast to be out. I'm ready for positive life changes!
  15. Whoop whoop party at the Marriott. Can't wait to meet you all!!
  16. You can message me as well. We can all hang out. I made some really good friends 8 years ago when I had the band. I hated saying goodbye. You will be in great hands. I've heard great things.
  17. I too will begin liquids tomorrow and will be having surgery in Mexico. Where are you having surgery? My doctor is Lopez. I'll be sleeved at Mii Doctors hospital and will be staying at the Marriott.
  18. I am having the band to sleeve revision on April 12. Fingers crossed. I'm using a very experienced surgeon who has done over 1000 revisions. He says the only way I will wake up without it is if I have an eroded band. Has anyone here had an eroded band and what was your symptoms? I have a lot of restriction and find myself hugging the toilet often especially when eating protein like meat and breads. I'm just stressed and hoping for one surgery. Can anyone help?
  19. I'll be there the 11th maybe we will get to meet. So exited!
  20. Anyone else on that date besides Lisa and I? Can't wait! I'm having revision band to sleeve. Would love to hear anyone else experiences at Mi Hospital and with Dr. Lopez. Please share!!
  21. I will be having surgery on April 12. I've heard great stuff about him and he has done over 1000 revisions.
  22. I'm scheduled for April 12 with Dr Lopez.
  23. I was banded in 2005 in Monterrey MX. It was the most amazing experience ever! Unfortunately, a doctor in the states messed it up. So I do not have a fill, but the band restricts as is. It has a mind of its own. I haven't had any major complications other than food getting stuck and PB. Long story short I just want it out. I'm traveling to TJ on April 12 for surgery with Lopez. Surgery in Mexico does not even bother me to say the least, it's the idea of waking up without the sleeve. I hope all can be taken care of in one surgery. Is there anyone out there who can relate???
