  1. You aren't alone. I have surgery the 13th and ate food today. I have type 1 diabetes and was low and panicking and just grabbed the crackers. I have done SO well up until now. I'm back on track but man. I felt awful afterwards.
  2. Prayers to you and your family Lisa. Try your best to stay in the moment with him. Enjoy every minute you have while he is here. I believe in miracles and will be praying for one to manifest in him. I admire you being able to stay strong for him. Keep posting here to vent. You need to let it out somewhere!
  3. I hope you stay well! Do your best not to add extra stress. If anyone can help care for your baby take the help. Good luck!
  4. Good luck and quick recovery gals. I'm Thursday so I will be not too far behind you. Keep updating please!
  5. I have definitely found it gets easier the further down the road you are. Good luck!
  6. Congratulations! So inspiring!
  7. Any updates? I have been thinking about you and your family a lot.
  8. I'm doing the bariatric advantage protein and sugar free Popsicles and broth. You can also have jello but I don't like the consistency. Some doctors let you have yogurt and one serving if veggies a day but mine doesn't.
  9. How exciting! I'm on day 7 of liquids and am ready to just be done with the liquids and on with my life post op.
  10. I agree! I'm on day seven but the diet has already become such a routine. My first three days were awful with headaches but now I feel okay. Still dragging at the end of the day but I am surprised tomorrow will be my second week (and one week out from surgery)! Congrats on the loss. I am down from 229 to 222. I don't really notice it though. I took "before" pics on day two. Can't wait to see the difference in a few months.
  11. This made me smile this morning (I know for some of you it's already the afternoon and maybe even the middle of the night)! But I wanted to share it. No matter what time of day it's true!
  12. I can say the pre-op diet is working. I'm down 7 pounds since Thursday. Mind you I put on four during food funerals week. So I knew that wound balance out as soon as I stopped eating like a mad woman. Lol.
  13. I'm the 13th too! Wahoo! It's getting closer. I did all my pre-op blood work along with the chest x-ray and EKG yesterday.
  14. I had headaches for three days. Even with the Tylenol. But day 4 I woke up feeling great and have felt much better and it's made the liquids so much easier to handle.
  15. Hello fellow So Cal sleever! Wasn't the rain a nice surprise? I am praying you get a little rest before you go tomorrow. In 10 days I will be in your shoes! Blessings to you!
  16. The day before me! Good luck and congrats!

  18. Lol! Anything that smells like food makes me one cranky biotch!
  19. Who eats in a nail salon?! I would have wanted to yell at her liquid diet or no liquid diet! Lol.
  20. Welcome Paula. How exciting!
  21. If you use a computer you sign in and go to your profile or something like that. I had to do that.
  22. I'm sure it depends on how busy your surgeon is and also if they operate at a big hospital vs. a surgery center. There are so many things that go into a surgery date that we don't even think of. Let us know when you have your date!
