  1. Thought I should introduce myself to the canadian team. I just got banded on Aug. 16th 07 by Dr. Yau in Toronto. went very well. Great team out there. I was so afraid of this surgery but glad I made it through. my surgery weight was 260lbs after many years of strugling to loose weight. It was not too difficult deciding to do this as i had had enough with shoping at penningtons and addition elle. Just scary though. I cant wait to see the pounds falling off. just cant wait to shop in normal shops and be able o buy clothes I like, not what fits me. just cant wait to be able to walk and excercise without being so out of breath, just cant wait to feel healthy generally. this will be a dream come true. I will work hard with this band on my side. I have to use it to my advantage. today, 4 days postop, i am 7lbs down and happy with the results so far. I know there is lots of hard work ahead, but nothing can be worse than ever dieting and never feeling full, only to gan it all back! Glad to be with you all.:clap2:
  2. I am 4 days post op. presently on the liquid diet. I have lost 7lbs since the surgery. not easy but sticking to it. Surgery done by Dr. Yau On Aug. 16th 07
  3. hi guys, glad to find some canadian bunch. i was banded by dr. yau on aug. 16. i am doing quit good so far except for moments when i miss some food with flavor. i am just so afraid of doing damage so i have strict to the bone. i pray that i get the strength to keep this up. i will love to start on the mushy stuff as soon as recommended. it sounds like the times before the first fill must be the hardest. thissupport does help.
  4. i have just been banded and wondering too. i seem to be reading a lot about slipage but i thought it was rare. from what i read, it seams that following the diet closely, preventing vomiting and eating small well chewed foods may help to reduce slippage. that is what i have read so far.
  5. banded on the 16th and doing well. sticking to the liquid diet. you are all in my prayers too. lets hope for a safe ride.
  6. just got banded on aug. 16th. we will go at it toghether. i am happy so far. I believe it will work out well for all of us. I just have to stop reading some of the horror stories out there. positive, positive.....

  10. Thanks team for all your support so far. i am working hard on my liquid stage now. will be glad when I can have heavier liquids after day 5. I am not hungry though. feeling much less gas and pain today. I have been walking only inside my house but i will try a walk outside tomorrow.
