  1. I am so thankful to have seen all of your posts. I have been feeling like a failure and so nervous that I may have done damage that could only be fixed with surgery. I was losing weight slowly, but that was okay with me. However since the holidays (Thanksgiving and really Oct my birthday) I have gained 14 lbs back. I feel like I can eat almost anything and no restrictions. I even had apointment with my doctor right after Christmas, but canceled it, because I was so embarressed. I am going to start the 5 day pouch on Thursday. Wish me luck.
  2. I so need to join this club. I was banded in Aug of 2007. I lost 32 lbs. I was slow but still okay. However in the past 4 months. I have gained 14 lbs back and I am so scared. I almost feel embarressed to return to my doctor for an update. I have been able to eat almsot anything I want, and am nervous that I have "strecthed my small pouch". What is the 5 day test? This is my first day back onto the forum in almost 6 months. I am ready to face the truth again. I am no longer feeding into my own personal pity party. But I soooooo need the support.
  3. My surgery was okay, no complaints there. But the next dayI di not see any of the surgeons or nurses aho you speak to prior. So teh staff that was there definately did not seem like they were the most knowlwdgable about lap band surgeries. But other thatn that I have been pretty satisfies. What were your feelings on your experience.
  4. I use Ispoure ( 50g) with 12 oz skim milk (12g) for a total of 62 grams. I divide it into 3 4 oz oz servings. I stick with vanilla flavor. The three small servings has just the amount of protein that you need for the day. My doctor told me 60-75g of protein was needed per day.
  5. I was banded on 8/27. I am on the mushy/pured food time now and for the next three weeks. Honestly the 1/4 cup that I was told to eat is ok. I thought the same thing also, prior to actually doing it that I aould not be filled. My doctor told me to still have the protein shakes and those are quite filling. I have the Ispoure mix (50g of protein) with 12 oz skim milk (12 g). I divide this into thre 4 oz servings that I have without the day. Between that and the 1/4 cup of food I really am ok. But still I really can't wait to eat solid food.:nervous
