  1. You keep saying people are off topic when they're answering YOUR question. Also, I think you should go reread all your posts. Your posts are always very know it all. We're all new to this, including you. Being rude when you don't like people's answers to your questions isn't going to do you any favors in the future.
  2. Good luck! I love Dr. Gluck! And I loved every nurse I had while I was at Mercy. The nice thing is most of the nurses have had some bariatric surgery, so they know what you're going through. I also thought it was awesome that Dr. Gluck took time out of his Saturday night to call me and see how I was doing. You got this! I was scared too, but it's been incredible. and I'll tell ya, once I went home, I've felt better and better almost every hour. I'll keep you in my thoughts! You got this. Must keep your mind on those "I want to....."
  3. I sat here and watched my bff eat pizza, which is my favorite food. While it smelled delicious, I definitely had no desire to eat it. I ate my 4oz of tomato soup and I was happy. We went to tcby for frozen yogurt and I got a kiddie size portion, which is a whole 3 oz. I ate mauve a quarter odd it, and she was amazed. She was like are you full? And it's hard to explain. I haven't gotten"full" yet, I just get to a point where another bite just didn't sound good. She was shocked. She's thinking of having this surgery, so I think it was an eye Leber for her. Although now I really can't wait to be all healed an nom on a piece of pizza. Haha. But yeah. My roommate, dad, and bff have all made delicious smelling foods in front of me, but I've had no real desire to eat them. Which is weird and awesome all at the same time.
  4. Today I just made my protein shake, split it in half (a full one is 8oz), drank half, and put half in the fridge. Then I went back later and finished it. I use milk so I assume mine would be extra super gross after being left out for a while.
  5. Yeah, I'm almost wondering if it's from just showering and all that comes along with getting ready and feeling like a normal person. Hah. STOP LIFTING BOXES!!
  6. Yeah. I won't be trying to fart unless I'm already on the toilet. Haha.
  7. I showered again today, and I feel like a new person. I keep getting weird spasm or pains in my upper stomach esophagus. It's real weird and I don't like it. Hah. I did decide to try and not take pain meds to see how it goes, and I'm not sure it was a good idea.
  8. I can tighten it myself, if it's already on. If it's not on, I definitely need help. Although I will say its a million times easier no matter what if someone can help. I gave in and asked my roommate for help today. The home care nurse didn't make it tight enough. And she was kind of weird, so I just let it go. Lol
  9. Oh, I won't sleep without it on! I'll just undo it for a bit while laying down. I also haven't tried side sleeping. The couch has been really comfy with 5 pillows all behind me, it's like a way more comfy version of the hospital bed. And easier to get out. Haha. But yeah. I can't imagine not having one wear ever. No thanks.
  10. Huh maybe I'll drink some in the am then. Then I can fat/poop to my hearts content, then take a nice shower and get clean. I didn't feel like showering today. Hah. And Yeah. My roommate isn't one to talk about poop, farts, periods, etc. but it's been amazing how understanding she's been when I complain about needing to, or when I finally did make some progress. And mostly, I don't care what she's comfortable with. At this point, me being comfortable is all I care about. Lol. So amen to that. And man, minus the little gas still all up in there, I can't believe how good I feel now. Yesterday was definitely a day (at least while I was still in the hospital) that I thought, "what did I do to myself, this is horrible." It got better after a shower and stuff... But today has been a total 180.
  11. My doc has you wear them for support. But in the hospital I could have it off when laying down, and once I got discharged I could not wear it whenever I want. I love the extra support and feeling of being "held together" without it I feel like my incisions will break open or something when I have to bend of do anything using my abs. And no, it almost hurt me to not have it on after surgery. For me is also something covering the incisions so my shirt or pants don't rub on them. I'm a fan if it. Ill wear mine as long as I can. And will probably look into some kind of tank top shape wear to wear for a bit.
  12. Anytime! My roommate and I have pretty much spent the weekend on the couch watching movies, laughing at all the gurgling rumbling noises coming out of me. It's actually really loud, and I hope they stop before break is over and it happens during lecture when only the prof is talking at us. My belly doesn't need to talk back. Hahaha
  13. My dad got me.skme smooth move tea today. I've sat on the toilet twice today and passed some good gas and whatever you wanna call what came out of my butt. Haha. I'm still debating if I should try it, or wait until tomorrow or Monday. While I feel TONS better now that I've done it, there's still plenty in there making lots of noise for my roommate and I to laugh about. Ha.
  14. Mine is basically a wide piece of elastic with velcro that wraps around my abdomen. It just adds support and makes It feel like my incisions aren't going to go explodey everywhere when i get up or sit down. I like to keep it kinda tight, though I will undo it while I'm laying down for a break from it it does get itchy.
  15. Omg, yes! I Do wear mine all the time, but I did I'm laying down I'll let myself all hang out and air out. I don't like to not have it on when I'm going to get up or sit down cause I feel like my guts will for realz go flying everywhere. Haha
  16. Yes! My dad has the higher toilets at his house. I have the normal low ones. So peeing at his house wasn't terrible. I went to go the first time here last night and thought I wasn't going to be able to sit down. I finally did. But in was so surprised how much easier it was after the drain was out. And how much easier it is to wipe my girly bits after it was removed. Hahahaha
  17. It's also awesome how much easier it is to get up and sit down after she removed the drain.
  18. This is exactly how I felt. I had surgery wednesday. I got my drain out today, and not only did I instantly feel better, a couple hours later I had the best fart/poop session evet! Hah. I'm still full of gas, but the pains are SO MUCH BETTER now that the drain is out.
  19. My poop today (the first time since my surgery wednesday) was water, with almost a little sand like sediment in it.
  20. For me, my doc basically started me on half an ounce every 15 minutes, and now that I'm home, I should try and increase it to an ounce every 15 minutes. I'm struggling a little, only because my pain meds make me pass the F out! And a popsicle counts for basically 3 quarters of an ounce.
  21. Yeah! I was so unbelievably excited. Over farts and poop. The things that are exciting now..
  22. Yup! I get a weird spasm like feeling when I sip water. Or almost anything. Popsicles are the only things that don't hurt.
  23. Just had the best, longest fart of my life. It was amazing. Hahahaha
  24. I asked my nurses about gas x and they told me no. But I still have them. BUT, I POOPED TODAY! And also just had the mm out awesomely long fart. Wow. Bahahahah. I also feel a million times better after getting my drain out. It's so much easier to move around and stuff now. I'm still full of gas, but holy hell do I feel better!
  25. I was, I can start the diet I was on 2 weeks prior to surgery today. So I can do protein drinks, yogurt, sf pudding, etc. I'm breaking the rules my nurses in the hospital gave me, and I'm gonna use the gas x my dad got me. I can't take this much more. There are so many sounds coming from my belly, but no farts or poop. The sounds and feeling in my belly is like when I'd know I was gonna liquid pee, before surgery. Haha. What in wouldn't give for that right now.
