  1. I was banded on July 30, 07 and have just had my second fill. At the first fill the doctor had problems stabilizing my port and getting the needle in, thought that it was just positioning and my tummy was larger then. At this fill my port appeared tilted and also had hard time accessing it. I am now scheduled to have the port re-tacted down on the 20th. I wonder if excercising did this, arobics 3x week, or was it a defect- as i could always feel my port rocking?
  2. I have Fed blue sheild/blue cross and they denied payment for the fills. My doc does not charge for the fills, but have to pay $100 to the surgery center for the fluroscope use during the fill.
  3. I can tell you that as far as I know no insurance will cover the fills. My insurance covered almost 90% of the original surgery- but nothing on the fills. The surgery center and doctor where i had mine done, all say that they have not found an insurance that pays for the fills.
  4. I have dealt with my weight for the past 25 years, and have tried about every diet there is without long term success. I was banded on 7-30-07 and have more hope with this than ever before. I do not feel hungry all the time anymore. :whoo:
  5. I was banded 07-30-07 in Little Rock, AR. The first few days was the worse- gas X helped with the gas pains on days 2 and 3. I can finally lay on the port incision side without discomfort. I have lost 15 lbs since surgery and had lost 11 lbs prior to surgery on Myocel shakes- they have a good taste, just have to really shake well to mix.
