Is there an Illinois, non-Chicago area group?

Getting the sleeve is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had no side-effects after the surgery and have lost 50 lbs. I could be losing faster if I was taking more care in what I ate but really loving life and now look how I've always felt.

    Am I stretching my pouch?

Okay this post is a bit frightening for me because I'm wondering if I'm screwing it all up. I am less than four weeks post-op and I've had absolutely no issues. I was back at work 4 days after surgery. My recovery has been remarkable and so far, I'm feeling like getting the sleeve is the best thing I've ever done. As of today, I've lost 13 lbs since surgery but things have slowed down considerably since introducing real food back into my diet nearly one & half weeks ago. I faithfully did the Liquid Protein diet for the first two weeks both pre and post-op, but then quickly moved to meat after the two week post-op liquid diet was completed. I immediately tolerated well-chewed chicken, beef, pork and even chili very well. I eat about 4-5 oz. of protein three times a day, along with sipping one 20 oz. bottle of Isopure Protein Drink throughout the day. Although the guidelines given to me say that I can have as much as 1 cup of food at a time, I don't and won't. It's true what everyone says, my body tells me if I've had one bite too many. Now that I'm eating real food I feel really good and have more energy, but have I done too much too fast? I've been working under the premise that my body will tell me if something doesn't work for me. Am I looking at this wrong?

    Protein drinks

I really love Isopure Protein drink which is more like Kool-aid, not at all milky or like a shake. It has 40 grams of protein per 20 oz. bottle, no aspartame and 160 calories. I try to drink one/day to stay hydrated and it really helps to get my protein in. I love the Alpine Punch, Grape Frost, and Blue Raspberry; the Mango Peach is okay and Icy Orange is horrible. I buy at my local GNC for about $3.64/bottle after discounts. It's worth it. This is not the same as the Isopure Protein powders.

    Aetna Health Insurance

I was denied by Aetna because I didn't have a high enough weight for 2012 even though I did for 2011. I self-paid.

    PHASE 2 FOODS

The only way I've found to get my protein in is to drink Isopure Protein Drink. It has 40 grams of protein/bottle. I make sure I drink one 20 oz. bottle every day. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it. I buy it at GNC.
