  1. I started out fast lost 20 pounds in two weeks. Then it just slowed down. A year and a half out and I only lost a total of 90 pounds. Don't get me wrong 90 pounds is 90 pounds. For the first time in my life I feel comfortable in my own skin. I would like to come down 15-20 more pounds.
  2. If it ever looks like coffee grounds go see your dr ASAP. Glad to hear you are doing better.
  3. I don't run I have never been able to run. I don't like going to the gym. I love to Zumba I have been slacking I hope to get back into the swing of things. I was going everyday of the week one hour a day. Some days 1 1/2 hours a day. I can do so much more today than I could do just over a year ago.
  4. My partner was not on board for RnY so I got the band. I had lots of problems with my band. She started going with me to the doctors appt. she learned so much she worked up the courage to have RNY and was happy when my band was removed and I had my revision. She tells me often how bad she feels for not standing by the Rny to start with. Good news is that we are both healthy now.

  7. Thank you for sharing with us. Pregnancy is on the brain but I want to see how should the diet be modified. I know my surgeon is usually active when you become pregnant. He is a couple of hours away so it will make it hard to see him Monthly.
  8. Omg I am in disbelieve I am actually warm almost hot tonight!! I don't think its a hot flash cause I just gradually got warm. Woohoo I am exited!!
  9. I am just over 1 1/2 years out and I am always freezing. I laugh and say I lost all of my insulation. I usually start the day wearing layers of clothing and run a space heater at my feet. It's really hard for me to keep warm. I live in Texas where it's usually hot. I used to sleep with a small fan on me. Not anymore the more blankets I have the better.
  10. Congrats!! How is your diet/food intake different now that your expecting?
  11. I had it done all at one time. I had major issues with my band it would slip and the port would flip on its own causing extreme pain. My original doctors office closed left me high and dry to find my new doctor. I saw the new dr for maybe a year with out any good results from the band. I was always in pain. I got something stuck Christmas Eve 2011 had to drive almost 3 hours to see my doc. He pulled all then fluid from the band. He didn't fill me after that I saw him in Feb. At that time he said enough is enough time to take it out. It all got approved and I had my revision 5/12. Best thing I could have ever done. Good luck with your upcoming surgery.
