I can drink soup and broth. I get diarrhea after drinking protein. My doctors office said they want us to get 60 grams of protein a day. That just makes it really hard when I can't drink it.

I need some help. I just had my surgery on January 20th. Before the surgery I had no problem with protein, but now I cannot seem to tolerate it. I changed the protein type and have even tried powder with milk. I've done Atkins and premier protein. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Norton's say its because they want to make sure there are no complications before they send you home. I have never spent the night in a hospital, but oh well. Yeah those Atkins shakes save me tons of time because I am always running late for work in the morning! Lol

I am a little nervous. They make us stay overnight in the hospital. The only protein shakes I like are the Atkins shakes. They are really good. I start the pre op Diet on Monday and my surgery is on the 20th. I am super excited but a little nervous.

How did your recovery go? Did you stay overnight in the hospital or go home?

Memebear, I love the Atkins shakes. They taste really good and have about 10 grams of protein. Sugars and calories are low.
