  1. I talked to a doctor and he said that the lump feeling could be from inflammation in the mucosa. He recommended that I go back to full liquids and take maalox.
  2. I take mine every morning and I'm fine after my protein shake but I eat pureed food around 1 and it starts after that.
  3. I'm on 40 mg omeprazole once a day
  4. I was given a ppi to take each day. I do that but still get the lump feeling
  5. I have the lump feeling and food does not sound good. I'm never nauseous but I have had the feeling that I may gag if I yet to eat. I wondered about the lump feeling. It's not a feeling of something stuck in my throat but like sitting down my esophagus
  6. My sleeve just doesn't want any pureed food right now. It doesn't make me sick or anything but I always feel something in my stomach for hours after I eat it. Is this normal? I'm a little over 3 weeks out. I'm doing protein shakes twice a day so I get protein in
  7. I have a love/hate relationship with the internet. It's also crazy how our minds work. I read the symptoms and then my mind makes me believe I feel those things even though I don't.
  8. I'm 3 weeks out. I'm doing pretty good. Not handling pureed foods very well because they sit heavy in my stomach but I do great on full liquids and with water.
  9. OK so I am hypochondriac. So I researched everything before I had this surgery. But I still research now and that's a bad idea for me. I came across a post on Google that said that we have to worry about leaks forever! Is this accurate? And what are the biggest symptoms of a leak? I ask because I know dizziness is one of then but for the past 3 years I've been dizzy every day all day. Doctors never found out was wrong with me so I decided to have surgery to get healthier in general. I'm a ball of nerves
  10. I can keep everything down. I've never thrown up or anything. I was given acid reducer meds. I take one every morning. It's just the heavier foods that give me indigestion when I eat them in the evening. So I'm going to try doing puree in the early afternoon and then full liquids the rest of the day.
  11. What's hot chocolate with protein?
  12. I'm on 2 a day as well. I've had to switch then up just so I didn't get sick of them. I bought isopure drinks because they have 40 grams of protein but they taste awful. We can do this!
  13. Things have been good up until now. I'm having a hard time with this stage and getting in all my protein. How have you been doing?
  14. Wait you were there on the same day as me! December 20th
  15. Thanks for that info. I was sleeved by Dr Ortiz also so that's great info
  16. I am having trouble with pureed foods. Indigestion at night big time. And feels heavy in my stomach. I've switched back to mostly liquids again. Today I had the sobbing I can't believe I did this issue.
  17. I do mine with Greek yogurt, frozen fruit, 1/2 protein powder since Greek yogurt already has so much protein. If it's too thick then I add some almond milk or sugar free juice
  18. I'm on the pureed stage to and I haven't actually pureed anything. I'm the same, the thought of pureed meat makes me sick. I do tuna with mayo, mixed really well, egg whites, fruit smoothies.
  19. I actually went and bought some isopure tonight. I figured at least if I can choke that down during the day then I'm already more then halfway to my liquid and protein intake. I haven't tasted one yet.
  20. Thank you for the responses. The first week or so it was easier for me because I would drink protein shakes 3 times a day and that right there was over 60. However now I am so sick of them that getting 1 in takes me over an hour. I think I may try blending some yogurt and soft fruit with protein powder. Maybe if it's more like a smoothie or will be easier for me to drink
  21. OK I am 20 days post op and really struggling to get 60 grams of protein in. I'm in the pureed food stage now. I do a protein shake in the morning but then just take bites of stuff the rest of the day. I average about 40-45 grams of protein a day. How do people do it? I'm just not hungry. And on top of it trying to drink all the water I'm supposed to have. Help!
  22. I'm 11 days post op and have some pain in my sternum area. I'm still on liquids and it doesn't happen after eating. It happens a lot after sitting. Any ideas?
  23. My vitamins are capsules so it's difficult to do anything. I did get some chewable Bariatric ones today so I'm going to do those for a bit. Thanks all of you for the info. Good luck
