  1. I just added my second ticker! Be sure to "add to signature" to make it work.
  2. I'm actually holding out on getting my Wash. drivers license. I moved here from Oregon a few months back. Ok - March...I need to do it but I just dread having my picture taken right now especially when I'm having surgery in March and feel like I just wait it out.....pray that I don't get in trouble!
  3. Hooray, Kim! Best of luck! I'm scheduled with Dr Cabrera in march!
  4. MadB-I'm Scheduled with Dr Cabrera in March. I'd be interested to know how things go and if he gives you any aftercare paperwork. Have fun in SD!
  5. What are your expectations for long term follow up care? My cousin had a bypass here in the states and is concerned that by going to Mexico for surgery, I won't get appropriate after care for my VSG. Now my PCP has asked me what my expectations from her are and I cannot really think if anything past checking my sutures. Am I missing something?
  6. I'm going to be speaking with my PCP and Dietician in the next few weeks. I suggest being very matter if fact about it and let them know what you need and expect from them in their support of you. WLS is very common now, I wouldn't have apprehension about it
  7. I scheduled mine around my partners break from school. There was already one other person scheduled on that day. I'm not sure how quickly you can schedule so I would be sure to include that when you first inquire with centers. I found Dr Cabrera through MBC: Mexican Bariatric Center. Good luck and keep me posted!
  8. I'm scheduled with Dr Cabrera on 3.28. It's a bit out but that gives me time to get my BMI down to 49. Thanks for all your posts I cannot wait to hear how it goes!
  9. Hi! I'm scheduled with Dr. Ismael Cabrera on Friday, March 28th.
  10. Ok - it really sounds like the Premier Protein shakes are the way to go for me. Now - to tackle costco - ugh!
  11. Ok next question - it's not a bad thing to have TOO much Protein, correct? I mean - 30mg vs 15mg - as long as it's over 15mg I'm ok right? I cannot see any downside to getting shakes at 30mg but wanted to be sure.
  12. This has been incredibly helpful, thank you! Like I stated in my original post - I have to get my BMI down to 49 from 54 and I'm basically going to follow the Pre-Op diet of protein shakes and salads with olive oil and vinegar. I just want to find an affordable shake that is already made so I don't have to mix it myself. I'm pretty confident I can lose the 30 or so extra pounds between now (well the day after Christmas) and 3.20. Right? I can do that....yep I can! So glad I found this app!
  13. What protein shakes are you drinking?
  14. Hi there! I'm searching for the best Protein shake with more than 15mg of protein. I'm having The sleeve performed 3.28 with Dr Cabrera and need to get my BMI from 54 to 49. Hopefully something sold at Costco! Thanks
