  1. Mandy, You look wonderful.....you should be very proud, girl!!!! I love your leopard pants!!!
  2. PhotoNut, How cool....we are cruising for the first time in February 2007 too!!! I have learned so much from www.cruisecritic.com, so check it out!! I was just thinking this morning about clothes for the cruise as I will not be wearing my current summer clothes by February either. SO, let's make a pact: we will keep each other informed about cruise clothes and where we find them, O.K.?
  3. Thanks so much for your help last night, ladies. I PB'ed for the last time around 10:00 a.m., took a xanax, had my husband rub my back, then fell asleep finally. This morning I have no pain, but feel kind of "whipped". I don't think I will be looking at crab legs for awhile. We have been having extreme temps and humidity here, yesterday the heat index was 110 degrees, so I am thinking that perhaps that had some influence, plus my 10 year old daughter is away at camp for the first time. The counselor called me yesterday to tell me she was having some major homesick issues, but getting better. That was stressful for me! Again, thanks, for the great advice and your concern. I have experienced sliming and PB'ed before, but never like yesterday!!!
  4. You rock, dude....you should be very proud of your accomplishment!
  5. The hot tea stayed down, but the milk did not....
  6. I ate some crab for lunch (not the fake stuff, the real thing) and I have been sliming and pbing since 1:45 p.m. and it is now 8:20 p.m. Plus I feel like someone is stepping on my breastbone....there has been a constant pain since eating but then it gets really bad and the pain goes into my back and arms. I tried papaya enemze tablets, hot tea.....then some milk which all came back up. Even tried holding my breathe (sometimes that helps to push the food down). Any suggestions? My God, how much longer can this go on???
  7. This is so cool...I know a star!!! Have fun taping the commerical.
  8. Congrats, gf!!! What a difference a year makes!!!! Can't wait to see pics....
  9. Extra prayers being sent....
  10. Any Chinese food, except egg rolls, simply will not go down....
  11. How wonderful....I know just how you feel and it's the best feeling in the world....keep up the great work!!
  12. Hey, girls...it is never TOO early for NSV's!!!! Actually, just having the surgery is a NSV. Keep enjoying your SV's and NSV's....
  13. MouseCrazy, Hey, congrats on your one year anniversary....what a wonderful year for you....not only did you lose the pounds, but from reading your post you had a very inspirational year. I am so happpy for you, Mouse Crazy!!! Keep up the great work..
  14. Thanks so much everyone....this board has be such a wonderful place to exchange ideas, thoughts, feels, frustrations, etc....I am so grateful for all of you. j.s., I am going to try to make it to the next support meeting....are you planning on attending?
  15. I am so excited today....I am half way to my goal today!!!!! I can't believe it. I feel so wonderful....life is so exciting now. I also had some great NSV's this past week too...double yeah!!! I wore a sleeveless top. I fit in those attached chairs/desk at the high school. I purchased two tops without trying them on in a size which I thought I was not in yet, but they fit PERFECTLY. I LOVE MY BAND:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: To everyone embarking on this journey.....good luck, speedy recovery and get ready for a wonderful new beginning
  16. With Christmas around the corner...ugh!!....I thought I would pass along this information: I wanted to return two items purchased at Toys R Us. I did not have the sales receipt, however, the items were 0boxed with the Toys R Us name on them. They would not return the items. I told them I understood that without a receipt I would only expect a store credit which was just fine. I would told that as of June 12, 2006 only items with a receipt could be returned......even if the store name was on the packaging with the store code. I asked the manager if the item was defective and I did not have the receipt (say it was a gift, for example) would they return it? NO.....absolutely not. So if you shop at Toys R Us (which I will not do anymore!), make sure you keep your receipt and if you purchare the item as a gift get a gift receipt!!! My daughter and I have decided to donation the items to Toys for Tots (a Christmas program where kids who usually don't get Christmas gifts received new donated toys.)
  17. Thanks for the pats on the back everyone!!!! O.K., for those who don't know what a turtle sundae is!!??? Well, you start with 3 scoops of premium (HIGH butter fat) vanilla custard, add hot fudge and cameral then top with roasted, salted pecans and whipped cream. It's heaven in a bowl!!!
  18. Yes, I did it.....I was with all my relatives at a burger joint last Thursday and I did not want to deal with eating a hamburger without the bun, greasy fries or fried chicken sandwiches....so, I thought, "screw it" I am having a turtle sundae! My sister decided to have one too, so I went inside to order....now mind you, this place has the BEST cheeseburgers, fries and onion rings on the face of the planet (I am hoping when I get to heaven this burger joint is there, if you know what I mean!!)...so, anyway, I am smelling this food and watching people stuffing their mouths and all of a sudden I order only ONE turtle sundae for my sister. So instead of eating a whole turtle sundae (and they are huge....$5.00 huge!!) I just had a couple bites of my sister's sundae and was happy (and proud of myself). Just another wonderful NSV.....
  19. Such a beautiful bride and handsome groom!!! Here is to many, many wonderful years together...
  20. Wow, I could not believe my eyes the other day....took my daughter to the medical clinic for her yearly check-up and guess what I saw the minute I walked into the clinic?? A huge sign that was promoting the lap band surgery by one of the docs in the clinic!!!! And best of all, in small print underneath it it read "and gastric bypass surgery". The lap band surgery got "top billing":clap2: :clap2: :clap2: . I got so excited I left the doctor a note about my lap band and that I would be happy to assist him with any patients who might need the "real thing" to talk to. (I spoke with him prior to his getting involved with the lap band, and actually spent an hour telling him about it last April!!!) Thought you all might want to know the good news!!!
  21. You rock, PinkMary!!! 93 pounds in one year...amazing!!!
  22. Terri... I am so happy for you....wonderful job!! And I think your toes are cute!!!
  23. Trizzy, I am so sorry you had this experience, but I want to you smile, girlfriend, because next summer at this time you will be living a whole new, wonderful life filled with daily NSV's and SV's....you have so much to look forward to!
