  1. Wow! You look so good! Be very proud of yourself!
  2. I am struggling! I started the pre op diet yesterday and i just want to eat! LOL I'm trying not to eat bad stuff but it is so hard when i have been doing it for so long! Not to mention the headache from trying to cut off diet mt dew cold turkey. I had to give in today and have one can because the headache was so severe that I could not function and I have a child to tend to! (it was delicious by the way) I am being negative nancy i know, but it helps to put these frustrations into actual words instead of just feelings that i cant figure out. The frustration from not eating is making me question having surgery. I look in the freezer at the ravioli that I had planned to cook and think, "Oh there is that stuff that I love to eat"! It makes me sad! I am seriously laughing at myself over these feelings. I didn't realize how much I loved food until it has been taken away! Ok, sorry. I think i am finished ranting for the day! I just had to put this down to keep it all in perspective. I am having surgery and actually am looking forward to it and the change it is going to make in my life. #staying positive

  6. Good luck! My date is Jan 14, 2014
  7. Im looking for a good sports bra for working out after surgery. I'm really big up top (42F) ???? and need something that will hold these puppies in place???? I'm looking at a lane Bryant one that closes in front. Any opinions?
  8. K ladies I need to know the best sports bra for before you lost weight!
  9. The Journey hasn't "officially" begun, but in my mind, it has. My excitement for this life changing event is hard to contain! My surgery date is January 14th, so the countdown has begun! I want to start my journal with my feelings before the pre op diet so I could go back and read it when the discouraging times come (which I'm sure they will). Ok, so first on my excitement list is my health! Wow, am I the only one that can't bend over without an act of congress! Tying my shoes is almost impossible because of the boobs and belly! Not to mention, the panting when I try doing something! I want to be active like I was when I was younger! I used to love being outside! I loved playing tennis and badminton, Now my favorite past time is watching TV. That isn't life! I'm ready to get back to LIVING not just existing! Sure I have other selfish motives as well, such as the BMW convertible that I will be getting once I reach my final goal! (Good Lord willing) Speaking of goals, I would like to weigh 150 and be an avid gym goer. Which I CAN do with dedication and the help of The Lord! I read a post the other day about people saying we aren't doing this on our own if we have surgery, but I disagree! This is a tool for us to use the same as a diet pill or energy supplement is to them. We still have to control our actions. We have to be in control of what we choose to eat and what we do. I, for one, am thankful for a tool such as this!
  10. If you go to gastric sleeve success stories, there is a huge thread going that people are posting their before and after pic on. The topic is "I want to see before and after pics!" If you find that and subscribe to it, you will see inspiring pics and stories!
  11. Hi, ask any question you like my dear. And that's a no so far on plastic surgery, but in a year or two I would definitely like to look into a boob job. I do have some loose skin but the trade off is so worth it. Plus unless I plan on walking around in a g string (which I'm way to old for) I'll be just fine with the lose skin I do have lol You look very fit! You arms and abs are so toned! I'm interested to know your workout routine and how soon after surgery you started. Plus any thing you did extra that you feel like helped with minimal loose skin. Like lotions etc.
  12. I start mine on the first. My diet is like yours thankfully! We must be having surgery close to the same day. Mine is the 14th of Jan.
  13. I had to do a 6 month diet (requirement by my insurance) The pre op diet is done for the last two weeks before your surgery date. It is to shrink your liver. Your nutritionist will go over what you are allowed to eat during that time. It is high protein.
  14. I received my ins approval today! Surgery is set for January 14th
  15. I messaged you. I'm not sure if I did it right. how long were you in the hospital?
  16. I just got my insurance approval today!! I'm so excited! Surgery is scheduled for January 14th!
  17. My before and after WOW! Have you had any cosmetic surgery? You don't look at all "flabby?"!(should I say that?) I hope I look as good as you do!
  18. Question. How do I view the photo gallery from within the app? I love seeing the inspiring pics and following people on their journey, but I can't figure out how to view their profile or even find the photo gallery on the app! Help!
  19. Hey sweetie, Just wondering how you are doing today? I hope you get better soon! Prayed for you today!
  20. Hopefully in January! I'm just waiting on insurance approval
  21. Tuscaloosa here! Getting surgery in Birmingham though.
  22. Oh ok! Good luck! Make sure you post pics so I can see your progress!
