  1. your surgery was same day as mine. I've only lost 43. Do you exercise?
  2. Am having severe pain when I eat but it is there even with drinking! Anybody else? I am 5 weeks out and it just started yesterday.

Anybody tried eating popcorn at 4 weeks?
  4. great job! You look awesome!
  5. I thought I should probably do that Lainey. She would be experienced with people dealing with the same issues. I will have my follow up pretty soon.
  6. I've been really depressed. It has been so difficult for me to adjust. I take an anti depressant and in wondering if it has stopped working. Anyone take pristiq and had problems after surgery? My doc upped my dose but I'm worried about overdosing on it now! She wants me to take 100 mg In morn and 100 mg at night. I'm afraid to do that!
  7. I'm a little worried. I had surgery the 14th and I'm only down 23 lbs total pre op included! Is that normal? I expected more weight loss by now. Well, I just looked at the calendar and realized that it has only been two weeks so...maybe I'm trying to rush things! LOL
  8. Well I use my scale at home as my "weight loss" judge. I know what I weighed at the start using my home scale and what I'm weighing now, so I go by it. I disregard the doc scale. Plus I usually weigh at home in the morning, naked ! LOL When I go to doc in afternoon I figure I weigh more naturally so that is another reason I use my home scale.
  9. I'm in the same boat! Sleeved the 14th. I have lost 23lbs total but nothing for a few days. I'm trying not to weigh as often cause it does discourage us! It is nice to know someone else feels exactly like I do!
  10. Looking awesome! Do you work out?
  11. We compare ourselves too much! But I do it too! I think if you ate it fine with no problems then don't worry. I am only a week out and I can almost finish a whole one myself. (Over a period of time) if you are like me, then you are afraid that something isn't right with your sleeve and that you won't loose much weight. Oh we worry too much don't we?
  12. I'm definitely doing better now! I have progressed to thicker foods; pudding consistency. I only can eat little bits though so I still rely heavily on protein shakes! I've been playing with flavors so that helps! Sick of chocolate! Can't believe I'm saying that!
  13. Quick question, do any of you remember having really bad burning feeling on the inside like where the incisions are at one week post op? Every time I move it feels like a match is being held to my insides at the upper incision site.
  14. Wow! This has been brutal! I wasn't prepared mentally for it! Surgery was fine and i got to come home the next morning so that was awesome! The incision pain is nothing but the gas is awful! I'm also worried about getting dehydrated. I'm trying to drink and have my shakes and soup but it is hard to get very much in! But I keep plugging away! My support is awesome! Starting with my husband who has been A++! Thankful for that!
  15. --- I'll be 5 weeks out on thu jan 16 My surgeon would say 33g is far too low - even with the initial range of 50g-75g 50 grams is reeeeally low and hair loss and muscle loss will be a big concern very soon 16 oz of water is like getting in next to nothing -- should aim for minimum 48-64oz; it's tough for me cause I had hernia repair and the pain makes me cry when I drink but I have to get past it if I want to properly heal and advance my diet Be careful, our bodies need adequate water and protein for proper healing; we went through MAJOR surgery. I wish you well but take it from me who was hospitalized for dehydration on day 11 and had constipation from hell from jan 1-5: stay hydrated!!!!! I had sleeve on tue. I also had hernia repair. I am so thirsty! I want to just guzzle water! I also am very hungry. It seems that nothing feels me up. Still having problems with gas, is that normal? I also have a gurgling sound in my throat after drinking or swallowing. It seems to be getting better with gas relief though. Should I be taking a stool softener right now? If so any recommendations?
  16. I had surgery yesterday and I'm regretting it too! I guess it is only because of the pain. I'm just praying for god to help me! I have so much gas pain it is unreal! Nothing helps! Every time I drink I have gurgling sounds in my throat. Anybody else?
  17. Getting close! Are you ready for it?
  18. Definitely get that check out! Hope everything is ok. Let us know!
  19. Ok great! No fever or anything else just an annoying cough.
  20. I know this is off topic of pics but there are a lot of users in this thread so I have a question. I am scheduled for surgery on Tue. I have developed a cough starting yesterday. What should I do? Will this change my surgery date? Boo hoo! Help
  21. I just started my period and my surgery is set for tue! Will this hinder my surgery?
  22. I'm excited! I love being able to connect with y'all!
  23. I sent request to you all!
