  1. Probably depends on your surgeon. Mine does a leak test in the OR. So I'm assuming when you wake up you start fluids. Guess I will know for sure on Tuesday.

  3. I was on the floor playing with the dogs and suddenly realized how easy it was to get on and off of the floor. It used to be so difficult.
  4. I have also had people ask me if I'm still having surgery because of weight loss prior to surgery. My response was YES. I want to be healthy for the rest of my life. Not just a few months.
  5. Yes I just finished day 9 of 21. Still doing pretty good. Surprised it is as easy as it is for me so far.

  8. I still have 75lbs to go and I'm starting to be cold a lot. I live in southern alberta canada. Where we sometimes get down to-40fahrenheit in the winters. Yikes.

  10. I have a fitbit. Also the scale that goes with it. It uploads your weight each time you weigh. Very cool.
  11. Yes. I also found the runs. Imodium dissolvable and chewable pepto Bismol helpful.

  13. Good for you. I am on day three of 21 day preop liquid diet. So far so good.
  14. I have lost 30lbs so far and 80 to go. I am preop started my 3 week protein shake diet today.
  15. I am 40. Was never a healthy weight in my 30's so I look forward to being healthy as I was in my 20's.
  16. Started my 3 weeks protein shake diet today. Yuck. It's optifast prescribed by my surgeon. And I have a whole 3 week supply so I can't change. But I am determined to stick with it.
  17. Glad to hear that it's covered for you. We are lucky. I see a lot of people on here with insurance problems.
  18. I had the stomach scope done it's no big deal. Don't even remember it they drug you up and I slept most of the day.
  19. I like to shop at value village our local thrift store. Especially now as I approach my surgery I will mostly be buying stuff there as it won't be fitting long anyhow.
  20. 2biglamb curious about something. Does your provincial health cover your surgery here in alberta or do you have to pay? I was soooo happy to learn our alberta health care covers it now. I was going to self pay in great falls Montana at around $15000.
  21. Love this thread. Cracks me up. Personally I haven't had sex for a decade. Yikes. Single and haven't been interested in dating. I'm sure that will change as my self esteem grows.
  22. Love that you are talking to your liver. I think I will do the same when I start my 3week liquid diet on tuesday.
