  2. I just had my surgery jan 8 of this year, about 3 days ago I started experiencing this pain on my right side a little below my breastbone. A second look at it today, it a little swollen. Is this normal?
  3. Hey guys, I had my surgery Wednesday Jan 8 and due to get discharge sometime today. The pain on my left side is unbearable but other than that I am doing well. Had a hard time getting my bladder to wake up but after several hours I was finally able to urinate without a catheter. Now it's time to sip on some fluids and go home.
  4. I started mines today by choice. My surgery is 1-8-2014 but I wanted a head start so my body could adjust to the change. It's been tough but I try to keep myself busy and focus on why I am doing this. The more you think about it the worst it will be for you. I am the one who cooks for my family, so those are the most challenging times but I motivate myself into not caving. You can do it, it's will power!
  5. I along with you also started my 2 week liquid diet today. I'm not suppose to start it until the 25th but I wanted my body to get adjusted to not eating solids, just in case I cave in! So far so good. I decided to keep myself busy. The worst part was cooking Breakfast this morning; the smell of bacon was getting to me. I grab one, put it in my mouth and just spit it back out before even attempting to chew. I am stronger than this, I can do it is what I keep telling myself. I just hope it gets better as the seconds, minutes, hours, and days go by. We can do it!
  6. Yeh someone also suggested Celebrate, I will look into that one too.
  7. So is mines; yayyyyyy I have a surgery buddy
  8. Hey guys, I know I am not the only one who is worried about what is the best Vitamins and Iron supplements to take after surgery. Well, a number of sites offer free sample products for post op weight loss patients. I just spoke with a rep from Bariatric Advantage and they are going to send me free sample. Not sure what they include but as soon as I get that package in the mail, I will update you on what was included. I was told from other patients that it's a whole kit of shakes and vitamins. Fingers crossed!
  9. Well I finally have a surgery date set to Jan 8th. I am so excited that it's finally approaching. I have been on this journey since August! I can not explain how thrilled and excited I am. I have so many thoughts that goes through my mind like what should I pack? Etc. Anyone else have a date for January?
