I had sugar free ice cream. I believe it was made by dryers, the slow churned kind. That was pretty good.

No first fill for me.
I go to the true results here in Houston, Tx. Well I guess she was nurse, a lady I talked to in my doctors office over the phone said it wasn't infected. But then i went to true results today to get my fill and they said they couldn't do it cause it's not healed and not suppose to look like that. But they sent a picture over to my doctor and he just keep using soap and water. Mmmm ok. Lol. I was going to do that, eat how I'm suppose to. They have me going back next week just to check on it. If they think it looks good I may get a fill next week, who knows? We shall see.

Wanted to know if anyone had Dr. Reilly out of the west Houston medical center. And where did put your port and how well did you heal with your incisions.

No first fill for me.
Thank you. Yea I was disappointed too. But I kinda figured they weren't gonna give It to me. I will take your advice thanks. That helps. I was just gonna go on a liquid diet for a couple of days then just do mushies for a few days as well. Thanks again.

No first fill for me.
Yea thanks. And I even talked to a so called nurse at my surgeons office and she said it's not infected just keep washing with your soap. I go to true results for my full and they told me right away no they can't fill it until it's healed and it looks infected. So now I might have to wait another month for this thing to heal. Happy holidays to you too. Thanks

No first fill for me.
Came to get my first fill and was not able to get it because my dr put my port right underneath my port and my incision hasn't healed. It's infected so now I have to wait till I don't know when. Hopefully I can make due without. I was really counting on this fill. I think I needed it.

Spring, TX anyone?
Yea I told myself if I'm going to do this I need to sign up for a gym. If not there's no use getting this band. I have to do my part in the weight loss as well. The band isn't going to do all the work. So I took my butt to a gym. Lol. I love the gym now.

Thanks. The thing I hate the most is that I can't do a full workout at the gym.

Spring, TX anyone?
65 pounds is great. I wouldn't put yourself down like that. I'm barely at 30 but I'm taking that 30 and running with it. Lol. Anything is better then not losing or gaining. Stay positive. Hopefully it don't take me long to reach the green zone.

Incision
Thanks for sharing. I just hit my one month yesterday. I don't mind the scars cause I have lots of them but once this completely heals I'm going to try that Mederma. I wonder if that stuff really works.

Yea having a buddy while going through this would be great. I just live here in Texas with my mother. I have no friends and no other relatives. So it's hard.

Incision
Ouch. That must be uncomfortable. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I have no nausea, haven't thrown up and I'm able to keep everything down.

Incision
Thanks for sharing. My doctor put my port almost at the top of my abdomen and just about in the middle. I can easily feel my port. Wow five inches long and I'm complaining over a inch or so long incision.

Hello, plenty of fluids is important. For me I was very cautious of how much I was drinking. So of course I started with sips as everyone was saying. Then as the days pass, you get the feel of how much fluid you can take at one time. What works for me is I take in a mouth full of whatever liquid and slowly swallow, that's my gulping now. It's hard because I used to be a gulper as well. Although the liquids should pass through fairly quickly.

Incision
Hey everyone. Questions, how many incisions do you have? Are they all the same size, where is your port located? I have 5 incisions, 4 small and one that's about an inch or so long. My surgeon put my port right underneath it. This is incision is taking forever to heal. I was thinking maybe because my port right right there.

Banded this Morning
Congratulations on getting the band, and welcome to this awesome site. I was banded on the 22 of November. So I'm still kinda recovering. I too had a hiatal hernia and my surgeon fixed it as well. Although my pain from that was just below the chest. That horrible pain in your chest is gas from the anesthesia. I had my pain in my shoulder and it was the worse pain. Yea you gotta keep walking around that's the only thing that will relieve the pain. Try the dissolvable gas-x strips. Those helped me a lot. It will get better, believe me. I didn't think it would go away. That's the right attitude, stay super strong. Good luck.

Need a buddy in Tx
So far I've loss 32 pounds. For me the healing stage was where I lost the most weight cause you can't really do anything and your pretty much on liquids and mushies. Well when I was on mushies I just had my Protein shake in the morning, maybe Jello in the afternoon if I was hungry or pudding/ yogurt and soup at night if I was hungry. As of right now, I transitioned to straight solids already. I'm having eggs and sausage for Breakfast, protein in afternoon with a yogurt if I'm hungry and for dinner I make whatever, turkey breast, chicken breast with cooked veggies. I still have fish. I just look for new recipes. Yesterday I made a cabbage casserole. I've taken out all pastas and breads. Try not to eat those if you don't have to. I've tried that tuna on the go with crackers, that worked well.
