  1. Current weight- 176.6 ugh.. Scale is barely moving
  2. Current- 177.2 ... Down 100 lbs!!!
  3. Current weight- 178.2 .4 of a lb away from losing exactly 100 lbs in less than 7 months!! So excited!
  4. Current weight: 179.8 Labor Day Goal Weight: 165 It's a stretch, but a goal is SUPPOSED TO BE challenging! I've got 8 weeks to bust my butt in this challenge!
  5. I'm in for yet another challenge!! Thanks for taking over for Bea!
  6. Starting competition- 195 Current final weigh in- 180 Woohoo!!! I finally hit my goal plus more on this competition! Can't wait for the next!
  7. Current weight- 187!!! I hit my goal 3 weeks early! Definitely a first for me in these challenges .... Been extremely sick for the past week so that didn't hurt the numbers.
  8. I forgot to post my weight from this past Friday.... Kidney stones and ruptured ovarian cysts just ended a 6 day hospital visit. Scary stuff. Anyway! Goal for end is 187 This week I'm down a crazy amount and Friday I weighed in at 189 already. I think it will be safe to say that I can hit this goal!
  9. Yes!!! This is exactly what happens!!!
  10. Current weight- 195 Goal weight- 187 Love these challenges!!!
  11. Oh that's so sad!! I love bacon and I believe it should be it's own food group. I don't eat it very often, but it's my "go-to" food if we have to go out to breakfast with friends or family. Congrats on being so close to goal!!
  12. Yeah, I completely agree... With ice cream, it's not good for me and I learned my lesson so why even bother? I'm only almost 6 months out from being sleeved so I've only had one or two bites at a time of bread and I haven't had issues. It may be easier if I has issues with bread! ha!
  13. Oh.. Just wait haha! As you can see, most of us have certain foods that make us throw up, but it's not like how you throw up now... For me, it's like you open your mouth over the toilet and it's like a slime consistency just comes out! Not like projectile vomiting or anything crazy! I know, disgusting, but this was one thing I was not expecting after being sleeved! Sorry for the graphic details!
  14. Another thing that absolutely PAINS ME TO SAY, is sushi. It is my second favorite food of all time (next to potatoes, obviously) and I can now eat 2 pieces of a sushi roll. Not THREE. Definitely not FOUR. I have tested this theory many times over the last 5 months and successfully puke every time. The good thing that has come out of this, is I have learned to love sashimi. I am pretty obsessed and I would say I get 70% of my protein throughout the week from sushi grade salmon from a local Japanese market. Absolutely obsessed.
  15. Hmmm... Now that you mention that... I was at a baby shower the other day and when they served chicken salad, I was less than thrilled because I've never really cared for it, but it was the only protein option and I felt like I was going to hurl so I quit eating it. I should make note of the chamomile tea next time!!
  16. Broccoli?! That's a shame since it's actually healthy! God was sending me a sign with my ice cream, but BROCCOLI?! Ha! Yeah, walk away from the veggie tray next time!
  17. That's so strange and I don't think I've tried onion rings, though I love onions. And onions in batter. Lol! I'll have to watch out when I come across one! On a side note- isn't is so strange and fascinating how we "throw up" now? It's not at all like we used to throw up if we were sick... Or had a few too many drinks the night before
  18. Yes, gross, I know. I'm just curious, I have certain foods that make me throw up and it's super annoying! What all foods cause this for you guys? My biggest one is ice cream. Before anyone freaks out on me.... I've never ordered ice cream after surgery, but in group settings, I have taken a few bites. I've learned I can't even take a bite of it without ending up in the bathroom.
  19. Hey there!! I think this is awesome that you are on here to learn everything you can and are so supportive!! I'm only 5 months post op and have been married 5 years, however having your spouse supportive is a must in my book! I have been extremely lucky in the sense that I had an easy recovery and life was back to normal completely for me after 2 weeks (after the first 4 days, things got way better!). Feel free to ask any questions on here and people are more than willing to help! Good luck to your husband!
  20. I'm in for another challenge! Good luck, everyone!!!
  21. Finally hit my goal on a challenge!! Starting weight for challenge- 205 Final weigh in- 195!!! Pumped for the 4th of July challenge!
  22. FINALLY!!! I've hit ONEDERLAND!!! The scale moved a lot this week after several semi-boring weeks so I was super excited! Current weight- 196.8
  23. Well I can only speak to myself, but I know that every day (prior to the sleeve), I would skip breakfast because I wasn't hungry at all, eat a huge lunch because I became super hungry and would eat something like fast food, and then there would be days that I wouldn't eat dinner or if there was a social event, I would go and eat a relatively unhealthy dinner as well. I never had that experience that people talk about where they feel so down on themselves for being fat so they go drive through McDonalds. My biggest problem was for sure the quantity. Quality sucked too, but I do love healthy foods and when I would become fixated on a diet, I was fine with the foods, but if could never get full on the "recommended quantities". Who knows! I don't want to blame it strictly on genes, however my dad is extremely large and my mom has struggled her entire life with her weigh as well. I think the combination of everything was less than ideal for me!
