  2. doh! i just realized i said long term obviously all u guys are all long term sleevers lol but i meant the ones who been sleeved a year plus or near by that ????
  3. I am curious I notice theres alot of talk about eating a high protein and low carb lifestyle is this similar to Atkins? Im new at this site only researching but leaning towards getting sleeved myself.
  4. i dont mean to be rude to cupcake but husband or not ..that is irrelevant.. he is STILL a very important person in your life whos opinion matters very much to you just the same as if u married him im sure. Also married or not this is still ultimately up to you. Its your health your body you have to deal with when issues start to happen I am pretty sure EVERYONE around me is going to be against it but I know that it is due to lack of understanding and lack of education on it. If you are 100 percent sure u want to do this then go for it. in time maybe people will see and change their mind based on what they have learned from YOU. God had your back
  5. I had a Dr like that also but she didnt say she felt like i was using her i mean how the hell do u USE a doctor?! they are there to help you reach any goals health wise arent they? have u looked up workshops near ur area? thats where u get started. after the work shop the surgeon office will set u up with an appt to talk to one of their people they will help u any way they can even if its finding a dr who they KNOW supports weight loss surgery that takes ur imsurence. so might need to be prepared to switch doctors.
  6. thank u dear im still having it now im just gonna watch walking dead on my dvr and drown myself in water ha! pregnancy cravings are no joke either!! i gained 10 lbs in 1 month got a lecture from my doc i been doing so so the last two weeks but i got my sister coming in from texas and u know shes gonna wanna southern cook! probably deep fry my turkey LOL
  7. hi everybody im only here visting!! i have been researching weight loss surgery for maybe the last 4-5 years. i been to 2 workshops but was never able to complete the process as i kept getting pregnant each time im back into researching more ive decided i want to do the sleeve. I have not started the process as I am 5 months pregnant but I am trying to get my mind in the right mind set and get motiviation started to do this when the baby finally arrives. getting tubes tied im done popping out babies ; ) I watched on netflix a tv series called Ruby. SO GOOD. Really opened my eyes to my food addiction. I been in denial for so long. I am not as big as she was 700 lbs I am 250 lbs at 5 months pregnant (normally im 240) but If i dont do something soon it wont be long till I get there! today i was dropping off my 2 older childern at a school basketball game when my mind was saying to go sneak to mc donalds grab a grilled chicken n super size fry and a side of of mayo (i dip my fries in !) i started getting into an arguement w myself on the way to mc donalds that i was not even hungry at all theres no reason to go there. an old lady was driving down the street in the dark with her head lights completly OFF it distracted me for a min and i passed mc donalds. i took it as a sign from God to GO HOME. And so i did and i am feeling accomplished. I just hope that old lady made it home safe too!!! ???? For those of you nearing ur surgery dates much respect for you I hope to be where you guys are at one day soon. - Melissa.
