  1. Hi I am post op one week (VSG). Looking for a local buddy who wants to perhaps workout, shop, meal plan etc with. Thanks in advance.
  2. I really don't think BMI has anything to do with it. Mine was only 40. The rationale for liver reduction is to detox liver b/c evidence shows that detoxing liver decreases risks for all complications. I never heard of this.
  3. Its even good for pre op patients. Good to educate yourself going in. I should have labeled topic differently so more ppl could benefit.
  4. besides the advice to get in all your Protein and add Biotin to your regime.... I feel slapping on some fake hair is a quick fix if people are that concerned with noticeable balding. I know I wouldn't hesitate.
  5. Thanks! Please BM isn't a dirty word to me.. .I am a nurse. I cleaned enough of others BM's in my career that it doesn't phase me. I had a gay male nurse put in my Foley cath... again.... no shame in my game. Thanks so much. I probably do have a lot of edema still and yes... yesterday I kept running to the BR... colace must be working
  6. Iv lost 75 of 128, in 4 months, but my hair is upsetting, your right lets just stay focused on being sexy with or with out hair! Lol I posted a link on the forum. www.hautelook.com sign up and go to beauty and hairdo hair extensions. Worth a shot.
  7. Me too I find myself having stomach hunger pains These are hunger pangs on steroids!!!! I don't like em. And honestly... I don't feel the need to eat... I just want those pangs to stop. I think they are more spasm-like to be honest. Bentyl helps a lot.
  8. ok.... yea you have to sign up. Its legit though. I love the site. Their designer jeans are dirt cheap. They are awesome deals.
  9. Im going to go to my husbands desktop and see wth is up with this site. BRB
  10. thank you thank you. That is what I figured. Every time I get up off the couch I say to my husband "am I skinny yet?" LOL
  11. I have never personally ordered from www.hautelook.com but my cousin does all the time. I do however shop at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack often. The site is definitely legit.
  12. Got it. I was totally confused. I think a lot of girls will appreciate this when they can finally see it. I hope it helps someone. I know it sucks to lose hair.
  13. Ok... type in hautelook dot com into browser. Click on beauty and then click hair doo hair extensions. They look really nice. I just had surgery and have super thick long hair and even I think I will order a few. They are really cute. Some are made of human hair.
  14. ok when i click on it it takes me to the appropriate place. Hold on lemme see if I can provide better direction to the site. Hold please.
  15. there are no more steps... this is what you have to do once approved by IHA. Pay any co-pays to Synergy you owe. Go to ECMC for your pre-op (Synergy gives you date and time and you will have bloodwork, EKG, and Chest Xray). Make an appointment for your PMD to review results of bloodwork, EKG and Chest Xray to obtain medical clearance. Go to an exercise and post op seminar at synergy (they will give you a date) Start your liver reduction diet 10 days prior to your surgery date. This all goes really really really fast. Keep me in the loop.
  16. it not a 'generic' whatever. It HauteLook is a subsidiary of Nordstrom Rack. I stumbled upon it when I was shopping for new jeans. I thought it would help ppl on here.
  17. I am not expecting to wake up skinny. I would imagine that consuming less than 900 calories a day (most of which coming from protein) that I would see some weight loss. Could it be all the fluids from surgery? When will I see some progress? My follow up is Tuesday.
  18. Oh great... they probably already sent it in to your insurance. I heard IHA is one of the toughest and I have them and they approved me in less than a week. You will be scheduled for your sleeve very soon. I am thinking early April. I can help mentor you if you like. I just went through it so everything is fresh in my mind.
  19. I am quite sure I speak for many when I say your post doesn't make much sense. You should report any harassment to the website administrator. You are taking out what one person allegedly said on the entire forum. If this was meant for the person who insulted you, you should address it with that person.
  20. Hi Kiara: Who is your surgeon? I went through Synergy (Dr Caruana). After I had everything done, pre op bloodwork and all the other requirements... they submitted request to IHA. I was done with everything on DEC 7th. On Dec 17th I got insurance approval. Jan 13th I went for pre op testing. Jan 27th my PMD cleared me. Feb 4 was surgery. I hated waiting... I felt so big and I couldn't take it another day.
