Have any of u used any lotions/gels for our surgical scars?? do they really work?

Am I totally screwed????? No problems drinking it, just still supposed to be on clear liquids :/

My rant/rave: when haters say "you know you still gotta work out to lose weight, right?" I want to tell them to mind their business. Didnt ask your opinion anyway, ol nosy ass. lol and I just had surgery 6 days ago! lol

I did good! very little pain which is probably mostly due to routine pain meds in my IV. I'm not complaning. I've been up today walking the halls. Ready for a shower but I'm goin to make sure Dr. Alvarez ok's it. No nausea. OH YEAH, the other doctors & nurses here are super sweet. And dont forget your extension cord if you want your phone charger to reach you easily in bed. Also, they said AT& T has the best service down here. Mine is a Straight Talk from Walmart that uses AT&T towers & its working great! wishing you all the best

Oh Lord....I went to Walmart & the smells at the deli were about to kill me!!!!!!! Day #2 liquid diet. I'm ready for my broth!!! lol

I dont think I am getting enough protein. Ive mostly felt weak today with a headache. Hopefully better tomorrow

I started my liquid diet today as well!! my surgery is the 21st & Ive already got a headache!!!!!!!! cream of mushroom soup SUCKS!!!!! LOL and Ive had v8 fusion, 2 slim fast ultra shakes.

A couple of years ago I started researching VSG in Mexico & I called Dr. Almanza's coordinator, started asking questions, then felt a little strange about the conversations & also reading online that his "hospital" is in a strip mall. I furthermore felt strange when the coordinator called ME trying to arrange a surgery date! so anyway, I'm not saying he isnt a great doctor, Im just paying more money & using Dr Alvarez. His website is very informative, his coordinator is very helpful but not pushy. He was also listed in Newsweek magazine as a top bariatric surgeon. His expertise is worth spending a little more on, in my opinion.

Another Mississippi girl, here folks! After reading yalls posts about working for the state & having BCBS insurance & being approved for surgery.....I somewhat feel like an ass for leaving my job after 10 years to pull out my retirement!! About my luck! Anyway, good luck to us all. Pray for me as I start my liquid diet tomorrow!! Im already a migraine sufferer & praying I get through this!

All these "peeves" are the reasons Im only telling a few people about my upcoming sleeve!!!

My surgery is scheduled Nov. 21 with Dr. Alvarez....self pay.

I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve with Dr. Alvarez on November 21st. I'm nervous & excited. Cant wait to start losing this weight. Tired of eating like a pig then hating myself. Tired of feeling "invisible" to men, when I used to get alot of attention. Tired of being soooo sleepy all the time & never having energy for ANYTHING! I'm a student & should be studying ALOT but I'm always dozing off. I'm tired of avoiding old classmates.....missed my 20 year class reunion. I'm ready to get MY LIFE back!!!!!!!

Anybody going to Dr. Alvarez?

This may sound crazy.....lol BUT, my female parts are so fat right now (surgery due in 10 days). Will the loose skin hang down off my "coochie" or will it not be obvious after surgery???

Wow! I love you all!!! So glad we have support for each other here! I want to add mine, in addition to all the others. I wont miss squeezing in & out of my college classroom desk. AND I wont miss being invisible to so many men!! I used to be a hottie!!!

Hey yall.... I have never flown NOR left the country! What should I pack? Should I bring American money for tips & small purchases?

My husband & children may be the only ones I tell about my trip to Mexico because I have some VERY NEGATIVELY OPINIONATED family members and co-workers. I dont want to hear their remarks: why didnt you just cut out your sweets & exercise to lose weight? think of what you couldve done with that money!! I can just hear it all! Did you guys tell everyone or was your procedure a secret?

Anyone else using Dr. Alvarez for gastric sleeve? And why is his price higher than other doctors from Mexico?
